New Furama Restaurant — honest chinese in Chinatown. Buzzy, energetic room where the crowd adds to it. Rooted in technique and tradition throughout. Handles groups well. Kevin Luo: "The roasted duck buns were good but it is not true Peking duck quality as the skin is not that crispy"

The salt and pepper smelt, sticky rice, and hot sour soup are one of the best I’ve had in Chicago. This is the kind of place I’d come to celebrate significant life events. A great family run restaurant. Simple as that.

“New Furama and Furama are my favorite go to places for dimsum.”
New Furama and Furama are my favorite go to places for dimsum. The selection is amazing, the quality great. I always leave feeling I made the best decision in dimsum. Prices are fairly reasonable too. It's a 90 minute drive one way, and well worth it.

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Furama and the experience was nothing short of remarkable.”
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Furama and the experience was nothing short of remarkable. Nestled in the heart of Chicago, Furama offers a delightful escape into the world of traditional Chinese flavors, particularly with their dim sum. The highlight, without a doubt, was their dim sum. Each dish was a testament to the culinary skills and authenticity that Furama prides itself on. The menu offered a wide variety of choices, from classic steamed buns to more unique and adventurous options. The shrimp dumplings were a revelation – delicate, translucent wrappers encasing perfectly seasoned, succulent shrimp. The Siu Mai were equally impressive, with a rich and savory filling that melted in the mouth. Another standout was the barbecue pork buns. The buns were fluffy and light, with a sweet and tangy pork filling that was cooked to perfection. The Chicken Feet in Black Bean Sauce was a daring choice for me, but it turned out to be incredibly flavorful and tender, a dish that truly showcased the chefs' expertise in traditional Chinese cooking techniques. The freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite, and the flavors were expertly balanced – a true hallmark of high-quality dim sum. Furama also impressed with its efficient service. Despite the bustling atmosphere, our dishes arrived promptly, and the staff were always on hand to offer recommendations and ensure our dining experience was seamless. Furama is a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic, delicious Chinese cuisine. Their dim sum is a culinary delight that promises to tantalize your taste buds and leave you longing for more. Whether you’re a dim sum aficionado or new to this style of Chinese dining, Furama is sure to impress with its exceptional food, charming ambiance, and impeccable service.

“Been going to Furama for the last 20 years of my life.”
Been going to Furama for the last 20 years of my life. Before I move to the burbs. My family has known Nancy and Eddie since I was a little girl when they had karaoke back in the days 😂😂😂 That's how old I am now! Pretty decent dim sum. Friendly staff. If you pay cash, you let them know ahead of time and they will give you a 10% discount. Parking is always good there and you can stop by the Chinese grocery store beneath. We always go to Furama when we crave for dim sum. Absolutely delicious! My favorite is the Ha Gow and of course the Siu Mai! 😋😋😋
