Daebak Chinatown stands out for all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ, with regulars praising tender beef bulgogi, flavorful chicken and steak, fresh vegetables, creamy eggs, and exceptional house-made kimchi. It’s a fun choice for couples, groups, and celebrations, with many loyal return visitors, though busy periods can bring 20-minute waits and slower refills; expect a 90-minute limit and mandatory 18% gratuity.

The food and space was amazing!! The service was really poor, she seemed to be having an upset day but that's no reason to take it out on customers! But regardless of her mood, the food was still great and we enjoyed our time.

A standard KBBQ experience in Chinatown. A decent spot to eat, but there are plenty more options around Chicago. The quality of meat and banchan were good for the price. As someone who eats KBBQ frequently I was not that impressed - But it is a decent spot.

Extremely disappointing experience. We visited with our two children and were told at the entrance, after their heights were measured, that one child would be charged $15 and the other $20. We accepted those prices and decided to dine there based on the information provided by their staff. Throughout the meal, the service was poor. Our server appeared visibly annoyed whenever we ordered additional food, even though this is an all-you-can-eat restaurant. At one point, she threw or slammed a tray behind us, making us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. When we received the bill, we noticed we were incorrectly charged for two sodas even though we only ordered one. After having that corrected, we then discovered that both children had been charged $20. When we explained that their staff had already measured our children and quoted different prices at the entrance, instead of taking responsibility for the mistake, they asked us to measure our child again. Even worse, they denied what we had originally been told and responded with an attitude that was rude, defensive, and disrespectful. The issue was never about $5. The issue was being treated as if we were lying about what their own employee told us. No customer should be made to feel that way. To make matters worse, this restaurant automatically adds an 18% gratuity to the bill. For a restaurant that forces customers to pay a service charge, the level of service and professionalism we received was completely unacceptable. Between the incorrect charges, the rude attitude, the poor service, and the refusal to properly handle their own mistake, this was one of the worst dining experiences my family has had in Chicago. We will not be returning.

I’m here to celebrate my birthday. It turns out to be a very unhappy experience. Food and service are great. However, the unreasonable charge is not acceptable. My very nice coworkers want to celebrate my birthday so badly and also invited my daughter to join. They are obviously not “adult” as they are less than 14 years old. We all were shock when we saw we got charge for 5 adults! It is all you can eat. We ordered just 3 plates of meats, for the beef, they are relatively small portion but the chicken were in a huge patty. We got filled by the “chunk of chicken”. Surprisingly, we spent $230+ for just 2 sojus, 3 plates of bbq meat, and the appetizer. Gratuity was added to the bill, $32 dollars tips, mandatory. I can easily spent this amount in a very fancy restaurant instead. I’m so regret to pick this restaurant. Anyway, if you want to bring your children, be aware, if they are so tall, you are screwed. They charged the children based on height not age. This is an expensive mistake but I’m sure I will never return again. I will drive all the way to Schaumburg or Niles for some real Korean bbq! While birthday girl eat for free and children is charge based on age not height!

This Korean BBQ is the worst, most disgusting restaurant I have ever visited. First off, the quality of the meat was terrible--it was cut too thick, tough to chew, and clearly not fresh. Secondly, the lettuce wraps were wilted and yellowing. The servers didn't bother to check how our everthing doing or if our food is ok? And the servers she didn't change the grill for me. Furthermore-regardless of the size of your party--they will changed 18% gratuity, because they know their service is so so bad and lousy. When I complaint to the the owner and the manager. They don't care. when I told them I would leave a negative review, they said, "ok sure go ahead." Don't come this place; they are nothing but shameless money-grabbers.
