“The English name is New Chinatown restaurant, but the Chinese name is 福州小吃 or “Fuzhou Snacks” — this tells you you’re in for some authentic cuisine the city of Fuzhou/province of Fujian. This is a rarity in the US, and a true gem of Chicago’s Chinatown! The key in a restaurant like this is to try and order their specialities, not the dishes you can get just anywhere. The Chef’s Recommended dishes are all authentic Fujianese dishes. I ordered Lychee Pork (and rice, of course.) The flavor was a fantastic mix of sweet, sour, and savory. It was my first time having Lychee Pork, and certainly won’t be my last! I also ordered Fish ball soup from the appetizers section. The fish balls were delicious and filled with pork, and the soup was light and hydrating. I highly recommended this restaurant for lovers of authentic Chinese food!”

“Great food Fuzhou Cuisine in Chicago. Got Dumplings and Peanut Butter Noodles.”

“The food came out incredibly fast, I've never received food this fast after ordering. We got the vegetable lo mein, vegetable chow mein, general tso's chicken, and 2 vegetable rolls. Everything was delicious, fresh, and piping hot. The food was also really cheap for Chicago prices. The staff were friendly and spoke English well. The location is right next to the red line, which was nice that day since it was raining. The only complaint I have is that we weren't served water but instead we had to pay for bottled water. Aside from that, I would recommend coming here.”

“This is my 2nd time coming here and this Chinese food is amazing. It is consistently the best Chinese food that I have ever had and I recommend this place to anyone. I ordered the General Tso Chicken. And it was flavorful and fresh. And the order came out in good time. This is a great small restaurant.”

“Best Hot n Sour Soup I’ve ever had and HnS Soup is my favorite! Pleasant staff. Clean restaurant feels very homey and comfortable. I had never tried Taro Cake before and it is delicious with a little Soy Sauce. I highly recommend.”

“Very good food! Also very close to the hotel I was staying at. I recommend the Crab Rangoon.”

“The peanut noodle was alright, not much flavor but it didn't mix really well a bit dry. The fish ball is good and the flat wonton 扁肉 is fine but not the best ive had. Its not flat and too much meat but the filling is peppery. It was expensive mostly for my experience.”
“Great food super fast and fast is amazing we ordered orange chicken and chicken with broccoli”
