“Best Chinese food I have had. Everything was delicious. This will be a must every time we visit Chicago.”

“Really good food. The waitress was very kind and helpful, even though she was extremely busy working tirelessly late into the day. I reccomend the Mangolian beef, and fried rice! It was very flavorful!”

“Lao Sze Chuan recently introduced their new Wushan Grilled Fish, and it’s honestly the best grilled fish I’ve ever had — because it actually has that authentic numbing Sichuan peppercorn flavor! I especially love the “mala” sensation from the peppercorns. A lot of restaurants make their grilled fish spicy enough, but they’re missing the signature numbing kick that makes Sichuan food so addictive. I’ve really missed the bold peppercorn flavor from the grilled fish I had in Sichuan, and I finally found that authentic taste again at Lao Sze Chuan. I’ll definitely be coming back because I’m completely hooked now!”

“The chef was there, a famous person, the chicken was SPICY, the tomato egg soup kind of stole the show, the tea was luscious. Apparently rated one of top 50 Chinese restaurants in the nation! Really and a great time eating here. Its sichuan so know what you're in for: flavors!”

“The noodles have great texture and soaked up the flavor really well. The sweet and sour chicken is crispy, the service was really amazing even the chef Tony was super nice and fun, all the staff made the experience even way more wonderful and unforgettable, really appreciated the way we were treated, 10/10 would recommend!!”

“Really good Chinese restaurant. The pork dumplings were excellent flavorful and well made. The beef stir-fried noodles were delicious, and the portions were very generous. The menu clearly shows non-spicy options, which is great if you don’t like heat ! The staff is friendly. Their English isn’t perfect, but communication is easy :) We also got two fortune cookies at the end, which was a nice touch. 🥠Would definitely recommend.”

“We stayed at The Blackstone Hotel, we wanted Chinese for dinner. We ordered hot and sour soup, egg rolls, crab Rangoon’s, Chefs Special, dried chili chicken, General Tso Chicken,String Beans, Tony’s Chicken with three Chili’s, and Orange Chicken.”

“Delicious. Authentic Szechuan. My favorite in Chinatown”

“The food was incredible and the owner, Zhong, took such good care of us. Our favorites were the whole pickled fish, crispy duck, preserved duck egg, and eggplant with ground pork. Such a treat!”

“Came here by mistake but we don't regret it. We ordered the crab Rangoon which had the perfect cream cheese to crab ratio. We also ordered the beef lo mein, soup dumplings and mongolian beef. The portions were good and the food was fresh. Service was slow. Restaurant was half empty so there was no reason for the slow service”

“ITS A FAMILY STYLE RESTAURANT!!!! We should've known this when we saw the prices for each dish, but alas we had so much food leftover! This place is absolutely delicious ONLY IF you love sezchuan flavor!!!!! Everything is oily, unfortunately, but some people enjoy that! A lot of good options and variety for pescatarian people!! I will say, it was not worth it to order a plate of bok choy for $15, that was the only sad portion. But everything else is enough for a family (there were 4 of us)!!! I will say, the side of rice for $1 is the best part hahaha”
