Imperial Restaurant
Imperial Restaurant — chinese in Chinatown; the Dim Sum is the highlight. The kind of place your parents probably knew about too. Real recipes, real ingredients, no shortcuts. Works for larger parties. "The seafood is super fresh — we had the steamed fish and salt & pepper squid, and both were incredible" — Erinn Fong [$$]

“Authentic authentic authentic!!! I never see more than one table of tourists or caucasian persons in this space which is a GREAT sign! When the folks that the food originates from are eating there, you know it's going to be spot on. We were NOT disappointed. We were on a dim sum/ dumpling tour so we tried all of the dimsum they had for their lunch options along with fried rice and beef crepe and taro chicken ball. Everything was fantastic and affordable!! Cant wait to go back and try more.”

“I come here every time I visit Chinatown. The dim sum and Cantonese dishes are very authentic, with reasonable prices and classic Hong Kong–style service—which means not the friendliest, but it honestly reminds me of home 😄. The dim sum is freshly steamed, and the tea is spot-on. You can come here for a proper sit-down meal or just stop by for a casual snack. Prices are fair, though during rush hour you might be seated at a smaller table (I’ve never had to wait in line, though). You know it’s truly authentic when uncles and aunties are sitting around chatting and drinking tea, while servers push carts through the room with freshly made dishes.”

“Foods are very fresh and hot and severe fast. Waitress and waiter are very friendly”

“Great spot with a lot of unique traditional Chinese dishes. Everything is served family style and you're expected to share entrees. Excellent spot for large groups of 6+”

“Authentic Hong Kong style dim sum. It reminded me the tea houses we would visit in our daily life in Hong Kong. The quality of dim sum is exquisite. I would recommend this restaurant to you.”

“This place is legit! The seafood is super fresh — we had the steamed fish and salt & pepper squid, and both were incredible. Dim sum was just as good — classic har gow, siu mai, turnip cakes... all done right. A true Cantonese spot with authentic flavors. Great service and clean. Definitely coming back with friends and family!”

“The Imperial is one of a kind when it comes to Asian dining. The staff hustle and the menu covers Asia. There are so many choices that it beckons your return. Just look at my pictures below from our dining experience.”
