Ordered Crab Rangoon and BBQ Pork Fried Rice for dinner. Both were excellent. I think this might be my favorite Crab Rangoon that I’ve ever had.

First time here, ordered takeout. Here’s my experience: Minus 1/2 star for rude princess barbie when I walked in. No smile, no HI. Just, “ WHATS THE NUMBER!?” Minus 1/2 star for the taste of the Mongolian beef. I’ve had better frozen Mongolian beef from the grocery store. Minus 1/2 star for no chopsticks/utensils or napkins with my TAKEOUT order. Minus 1/2 star for the price of the food not being anywhere worth the quality. Minus 1/2 star for my bag being soaked in sauce on the inside causing a mess when opening it. And lastly, minus 1/2 for the place looking dirty when I walked in. I scrolled past this place for years on google and next time I’m gonna continue to keep scrolling.

112120 Golden Bowl Chinese Food Fairview/63rd Westmont Heard how great this place from family and friends so I had to try it. I ordered Beef with vegetable pan fried Cantonese lo mein And Egg rolls The portions were not huge but enough for 2 days There was pickup only due to covid and there was only 2 people working in there on a busy night weekend night and the cook looked 90. The Cantonese lo mein, the noodles were thinner noodles with their version of Cantonese sauce or flavoring. Sadly there was barely any vegetables in the dish maybe a few peapods, sprouts and bokchoy. They had no crisp in them either and sadly no flavor. The beef again flat strips was mushy and also lacking in flavor. Egg Rolls Unfortunately they were fried i But not crisp on the shell and mush inside. I don't know if this place had a really bad day on my visit but with all the good reviews I was very disappointed . Carry out only, located in a small strip mall, average prices large menu

The food here was very reasonably priced on the lunch menu and the portion size was good. I went with a friend and our total bill for both of us was just under $22. I got the beef and mushrooms. It came in a Styrofoam togo container, which I thought was convenient for lunchtime meals. But we were dining in. No problem! We each had a plate and utensils! The thing I liked about this was that I was able to put just what I wanted to eat onto my plate and leave the rest in the togo container. When we were ready to leave the bill was brought out with a bag to put our leftovers in! I really like this serving style during lunchtime. Hang on ... I didn't mention the sides. In addition to a great serving of the main dish, it came with a plain eggroll, choice of soups, a fortune cookie and a pot (with refill) of fresh-brewed hot tea! The place looks pretty run down inside, but the food is excellent. I WILL be going back.

I had a large chicken Fried rice was hoping to get it with a lunch special but theirs only comes with steamed rice. Picked up in less than 10 minutes. I was greeted by an older lady in the lobby. The food was fresh. Definitely plan on going back.

Hadn't been here in more than 10 years and the dish I ordered tasted exactly the same as I remembered. To me that says it all, high quality and consistency. The egg rolls are absolutely delicious and the shrimp with pea pods and water chestnuts is such a comforting and tasty dish. Don't forget to save room for the yummy and crunchy alond cookies for dessert!
