“- Egg Tofu with King Mushroom**: This was my favorite dish, as I’m a huge fan of Japanese egg tofu— the tofu is steaming hot, cooked perfectly, and bursting with a delicious fried egg flavor”

I grew up eating Chinese food all the time, and I can confidently say that Go 4 Food is a true gem among all the restaurants in Chinatown. The dishes here are consistently delicious, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. You can just tell that the owner puts genuine care and pride into every plate served. This is the kind of place where customers are not only well-fed but leave feeling happy and completely satisfied. Highly recommended! I will definitely go back for those razor clams and for the biggest oysters I've ever seen!

“Go 4 Food is a solid spot for Cantonese flavors.”
Go 4 Food is a solid spot for Cantonese flavors. We had the tea-smoked duck, salted egg tofu, and sizzling squid. The duck was especially flavorful with a nice crisp, while the tofu was rich but tasty. The squid arrived sizzling at the table - a true showstopper!. We wished we’d tried more of the fresh seafood dishes, but we’ll reserve those for next visit. Overall, a solid stop for Cantonese flavors in Chinatown.

I grew up in Chicago and have traveled to Hong Kong and China extensively - this place is the closest in freshness and taste to any dishes I’ve had in that region! Their seafood is ALWAYS fresh/live. The options of preparation is precisely the way a Chinese person would order it! They even have the much sought after comfort dish of Preserved Vegetable & Pork Belly. I’ve brought family here who just landed from Guangzhou or Toronto and they’ve praised every. single. dish! (And you know they’re the picky kind of Asians!) The staff is attentive and efficient. The chefs clearly know what they’re doing as they’re handling your live seafood! My favorite item here is their Razor Clams and Coral Shrimp! There is no other place in Chicago or the surroundings that is offering this level of cuisine for the money! Yes, a 3-course live King Crab meal might set you back a few Benjamin’s but LIVE KING CRAB (#IYKYK) Five stars ALL the way!

Dining at Go 4 Food in Chicago’s Chinatown offers a cozy and authentic Chinese fusion experience. “OMG, do NOT let the location and outside decore fool you.”
OMG, do NOT let the location and outside decore fool you. The food here is amazing! Definitely order the french beef and chili fusion dungeness crab. It's a little pricey, but the flavor that hits your mouth.....wow! You order via tablet and prepare yourself for one of the best Asian meals you've ever had in Chinatown, well, at least for me. I would most definitely recommend finding this place off the beaten path in the "older part" of Chinatown.

“Stopped in for lunch and saw the lunch special sign outside the establishment.”
Stopped in for lunch and saw the lunch special sign outside the establishment. I chose the Japanese Chicken Curry over rice and was very good. Great food, great price. Love it. Also FYI, anything less than $10 requires cash.

“An all-around delicious seafood-specialty restaurant tucked away in Old Chinatown.”
An all-around delicious seafood-specialty restaurant tucked away in Old Chinatown. The interior is cozy, simply decorated, and seats groups large and small. Our group of 8 was seated with no wait on a Sunday afternoon, and we ordered the following dishes (**= especially recommend): - Millionaire Fried Rice**: this was a unique dish that I’ve never had before and really enjoyed—it’s like a wet fried rice, a bit like congee in texture. The bits of seafood inside provided for some nice fresh flavors. - Salted Egg Yolk Shrimp**: the egg yolk coating on these large shrimps were strong and flavorful; I personally prefer it with shell-on. - Tea Smoked Duck (half)**: This duck was quite good— tender, juicy, and flavorful. - Egg Tofu with King Mushroom**: This was my favorite dish, as I’m a huge fan of Japanese egg tofu— the tofu is steaming hot, cooked perfectly, and bursting with a delicious fried egg flavor. The king mushroom’s texture pairs perfectly with the tofu. - Seafood Tom Yum Soup: fresh and aromatic flavors. - French Style Beef Tenderloin: the beef was very flavorful, but a tad overcooked for us. - Baby Boy Choy with Garlic: a classic vegetable that was well stir-fried. - Singapore Fried Noodle: These noodles were very flavorful and not too soft/over-cooked as it sometimes tends to be. I liked the variety of ingredients in here, from the shrimp to sausage to veggies. The service was friendly and attentive, and since we spent over $100, we got to choose a “prize” from a hat, which turned out to be a free order of pan-fried dumplings with our next purchase. The total including tip was ~$20 per person.

“If you want really fresh seafood cooked authentically, do yourself a favor and come here.”
If you want really fresh seafood cooked authentically, do yourself a favor and come here. It's not fancy and it's pretty small (about 6 tables) and kind of on a side street from the main drag in Chinatown but is consistently and legitimately delicious. Always ask what the fresh catch of the day is. We had soft shell crab, scallops on the half shell (steamed with rice noodles and scallions), salted egg yolk shrimp - shell off (consensus favorite. Do it), French style beef tenderloin, taco baos, morning glory (Chinese green that is hard to find in normal supermarkets), and garlicky Shanghai bok choy. There's live Dungeness crab and lobster if you want to impress and work for your dinner. This place takes reservations if you call, it does get full and they turn people away every time I have been there. Parking can be difficult as your options are street or parking garages. Also, its BYOB.

“Definitely coming back.”
Definitely coming back! The food was incredible. French style beef tenderloin - full of flavor and tender. Crab rangoon - so crispy and delicious made with real crab & lobster. Shrimp fried rice - they were out of lobster fried rice which is what I initially wanted but it was yummy! I ordered a side of chili oil to drizzle over the rice it was 10x better. Overall a 10/10 experience with great service!

We walked in late one night about 30 minutes to closing and they were still very accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious! My cousin and I both ate and there was still plenty of food to take home. Crab rangoons so, so good. The green onion beef was 🤌top🤌notch🤌. Everyone that tended to us was super nice and we were never once rushed (though we were very conscious and considerate of their time so we tried to eat quick to not to stay too long past closing). If we come back to Chicago we will definitely be stopping by. Thank you!

“This is our second trip here.”
This is our second trip here. First time did some experiment with soft ahell crab and shrimp with egg wolk, which was ok, this time we went for conventional stuff. Orange chicken and shrimp with shell with cilly fusion sauce. Both of them We're great and the price was good too. The photo was not great as we were so hungry that we started eating.
