Evergreen Restaurant — a chinese spot in Chinatown. Sleek and intentional, with the aesthetic dialed in. The cooking is rooted in real tradition. Mona: "The beef was tender and the flavors were rich"

“- Thai Pineapple Shrimp: Didn’t love this dish; it was originally supposed to be mango shrimp, but they ran out of mango and substituted pineapple”

“My family and friends loved the restaurant.”
My family and friends loved the restaurant. It has a nostalgic atmosphere with good food. The portions are plentiful. The staff is wonderful and they are really attentive. Loved the lobster. Will definitely come back. They have a bar and make virgin drinks for kids. You will find something you enjoy on their menu. Bes spot un Chinatown! Thank you, Wendy!!

“This is our "go to" old fashioned Chinese restaurant.”
This is our "go to" old fashioned Chinese restaurant. It's stuck in the 70's decor is still inviting. The thick gravy with tons of corn starch reminds me of my youth. It's clean and friendly and never to crowded (except on Thanksgiving and New Years eve). The prices are very reasonable and the service is quick. Very reliable. I usually get Moo shu and my friend always gets eggfoo young.

A true gem. I miss Won Kow so much but Evergreen scratches that itch. It’s one of the only spots left in Chinatown that still does Tropical Drinks. The Mai Tai is exactly the Chinese restaurant Mai Tai of your dreams. Egg Rolls are fire. Fried Rice is fire.

“Everything about this place is classic.”
Everything about this place is classic. I've been coming here for years as a visitor to Chicago and I'll keep coming back. Huge menu with all the standard choices. Everything is fresh and worth a try. So many full service restaurants have closed in China Town, I really think you should give this place a try.

“I’ve been coming here with my parents for several years now (so much that the manager and waitresses know our order).”
I’ve been coming here with my parents for several years now (so much that the manager and waitresses know our order). They serve authentic Cantonese and Szechuan food with good portions and excellent flavor. Some of our usuals are baby clams with black bean sauce, salt and pepper pork chop, walnut shrimp, salt and pepper japanese egg tofu stuffed with shrimp, szechuan string beans, and the peking duck.

“I love the food here because it bring me the feeling of old and traditional Chinese.”
I love the food here because it bring me the feeling of old and traditional Chinese. The food was amazing for me. I have been to Chinatown many time but they don’t have much old Chinese restaurants left. Everyone should come here and try the Chinese food. The menu is new now, so everyone can check it out easier 👍

“One of the best Chinese restaurant in USA for me.”
One of the best Chinese restaurant in USA for me. Large and clean seating area. Staffs are really helpful with the order and they are English communication so well. Food are superb with fresh ingredients. Fish are really good also the oyster. I don't know the name just give them the picture they will understand. Street parking is ok. Their location far from clouded area in chinatown.
