“Vibes 10/10 Cortado 10/10 Chit chat 10/10 Patio 10/10 Visited Metric this morning during a short bike ride around Chicago. Without a doubt the best cortado Ive had in this city. Granted my sample size is small, but this was truly an amazing drink. I am very glad I ventured outside of the tourist lands and made the trip. I even got a recommendation for a coffee shop to visit back home from them. Thanks!”

“Absolutely everything it was cracked up to be.. easily the best cup I’ve had in town. Cannot wait to come back. Such a great cup of coffee and vibe from the crew. ❤️”

“OKAY the coffee was amazing. But my main thing were the amazing team of people. I traveled all the way from Indiana and made a stop at that coffee shop. I forgot my backpack there, and didn't realize until I was back home. I called and contacted them (even though it was a weekend AND they were already closed). They answered back immediately and confirmed that they had my backpack safe and sound. Since I couldn't drive to get it, they mailed it to me in TWO DAYS!!!!!!!!! They were all treating me so nice. These are angels working here. Thank you thank you thank you!”

“One of the best (if not the best coffee roast) in Chicago. Quick on the pour over with the new automatic machine they have. Drip is spectacular with a good selection of various origins.”

“Cute neighborhood spot for amazing espresso and great pastries. Just wish you offered some vegan options.”

“Likely the best coffee I’ve had in the city, ever. Proper shop. I get their cappuccino, so simple and perfect. Do not sleep on the pain au chocolat. Comparably just as good if not better than what you’ll find in France. The salty on top is such a nice finish. Chefs kiss.”

“Bro. Yeah, the cappuccino and espresso tonic I got were awesome. You already know that if you read any other review though. Let me put you on tho: Buckwheat. Biscuit. $2 a pop and absolutely wonderful. If you ain’t buckwheating with your hot bean water, then miss me fam (I also got the cappuccino and espresso tonic - both were great)”

“Great experience, great staff, great coffee, great croissant. Go here.”

“Small cozy cafe. Very interesting Menu. Tried the lemon matcha, it was refreshing. Patio seating cute and quiet.”

“The coffee at Metric is my favorite in the city. On top of that, the staff is so friendly and welcoming. I’m kind of a regular and they always remember my order which I appreciate :) It’s really cold this week in Chicago and I feel bad for the staff because it’s not much warmer inside when ordering. Hopefully that is fixed soon.”

“We were very lucky to have found METRIC when visiting the Logan Square/ Avondale neighborhood of Chicago! I ordered a vanilla latte and would have to say it was extremely well made, flavorful, and plentiful. The cinnamon bun also was delicious. The overall pricing was in-line with other coffee establishments. The venue has a great vibe with ample seating, a variety of decor, and the ability to see the "work areas" where the coffee appears to be processed/ground. There was a mix of moms with kids and people using this coffee spot to check their email, etc. I am so glad to have found METRIC and am looking forward to revisiting during return trips to Chicago.”
