Kopi Cafe — high-caliber cafe in Andersonville. The design gives it a sharp first impression. Not your typical menu, in a good way, and solid veggie options. "The matcha was easily one of the best I’ve ever had" — Katelyn Smith

“They have the best soup; usually soup is salty and cheap-tasting, but their soup tastes natural and is served with delicious bread (I love bread)”

“Food and service are outstanding.”
Food and service are outstanding. We split the roasted red potatoes and challah French toast with berry compote. Also tried the Chai with oat milk and it was worth the stop

“Such a unique place.”
Such a unique place! We stumbled upon here on a stroll through Andersonville. Seeing folks sitting on the ground up front caught our eye, and once we peeked in we couldn't resist getting a table for ourselves. The atmosphere is so cozy and laid-back, complete with a full shop in the back. It's that quintessential nostalgic, unpretentious cafe with wooden furniture, home baked goods and warm breakfast and lunch options (these kinds of places are all too hard to find these days!). Whoever wrote the menu gets a special shoutout for 1) all of the options and 2) their sense of humor (which was much appreciated and noticed). We walked out feeling full but like we made a healthy choice, which was much needed after a few days with no veggies in sight. Highly recommend the homemade kombucha! Next time we're back in Chicago we'll be back to try a dessert.

“Such a cozy spot for a nice warm and refreshing meal.”
Such a cozy spot for a nice warm and refreshing meal! You can sit on the floor which is great for the neurodivergents or those who just want to stretch. The tuna sandwich was so good and packed with healthy flavor. The chai was a good compliment too! Staff were so kind and helped us get great food and drink on a chilly day!

Excellent selection of yogurt despite always being super basic and getting Tarte! The Tarte was excellent, not to too sour or bitter. It was just right. There are couches and cute places to sit. Price is a bit expensive but worth it.

a traveler’s cafe..funny that it has fantastic service for a place meant to be a stop on a longer journey, a blip between far off places and next destinations. we almost took our drinks to go before finding the back patio! what was meant to be a caffeine-fuel-dip-and-dash-pit-stop became almost a four hour conversation. i’d been here before and not only did i not know that there was a beautiful, little patio of bright red and blue chairs, shaded under overlapping umbrellas and surrounded with basil plants and small pink flowers (and a kind of loud ac unit, which was annoying until we realized the noise muffled our conversation amidst strangers, a droning layer of privacy added to our seclusion from the world)..but (and this is most important) I NEVER KNEW ABOUT THE MATCHA FREEZE. SO YUM. EVERYONE SHOULD ORDER IT, SO CRISPLY GREEN AND SWEET AND ICY AND DELICIOUS! anyways—good times were had, a year was shed, hearts were won, and drinks were drained!

Delicious! Best Whoopie pie I have ever had. The best dirty chai I have ever had, and my wife had the Viennese coffee, which was also delicious. We went around 5:30pm and they close at 7pm, we left around 6:45pm and we never felt rushed which was nice. Enough space to get some work done. The service was also great. I will highly recommend.
