Meander through your tasting journey while having one of their famous hand carved charcuterie platters in a space that is finely detailed in a belle époque style mixing neo-Gothic to classicism, Art Nouveau and Art Deco. Not pretentious yet full of class and charm. Outdoor seating is available seasonally. The service is spectacular, knowledgeable and patient. THIS is how you enjoy wine! Perfect spot to cozy up with a glass of wine (or 3!) and catch up with a friend. Atmosphere is intimate, so better for smaller groups or one-on-one. Bartender was very knowledgeable with wine suggestions and offered a couple samples to help us decide.

Excellent place to discover a number of natural wines from around the country and world. We had two wine flights that was greqt. The cheese and salumi board well was excellent. A must! Worth a visit.

“Loved the natural wine selection.”

Loved the natural wine selection. I had a hard time choosing. The 404 pet nat was easy to drink, smooth, and nicely structured (not too dry or acidic). My last wine, Do Nothing, was a mix of Pinot noir and Chardonnay grapes which seems like an odd combination until you try it. Absolutely stunning.

Visited the good funk with my best friend, we both had an amazing time. Our person Damian not only served us what we ordered but gave us a few tastes of some other unique wine. He answered all my questions about wine from best cheese pairings with a Cabernet. Can’t wait to go back when I’m in Chicago again!

Great selection of natural wine. The White wine flight was fantastic and well varied, the guys behind the bar were talkative, knowledgeable and friendly. Mushrooms on toast were awesome. Could've spent a long time here but it was at the end of a day of downpours and walking. Will be back next time we're in town.
