“We visited Brown Sugar all the way from Florida. It was well worth it. While staying Chicago, we went to the Bakery. We got a piece of coconut cake, Key Lime pie, and a German chocolate cupcake. The servings were so big, we could barely finish them. Everything was so delicious. Our service was friendly and welcoming. If you are ever in Chicago, you should pay them a visit.”

“I ordered a red velvet two-layer birthday cake for my sister online. It was for her birthday. Upon arrival it was pretty busy, but the staff tried their best to get everyone in and out. That is really what matters to be honest. They allowed me to make a small change to my cake with no fuss at no extra charge. I loved seeing so many Black faces in the establishment and around the area. Good customer service. Great cake. Will be back whenever I feel like being a big back.”
“This place popped up on my Facebook timeline. I decided to take the drive to see what it was about. I went on Thursday, Jan 29. I walked in and was welcomed right away. Customer service was great. The lady was friendly and helpful. They had a big selection to choose from. I tried the Caramel Cake and the Turtle cheesecake. The caramel cake was delicious. But let me tell you something baby that Turtle cheesecake is something amazing. That had to be one of the best desserts I have eaten and I have had my fair share of desserts. Now initially I was like hmmm it might be too sweet. Let me tell you something about this magical piece of UTTER PERFECTION! It is nothing short of amazing and perfectly balanced. It is delightful. You have to try it! It is a must have. Its fresh and delicious. I'm amazed.”
“I’ve been to Brown Sugar Bakery a couple of times, and I am a lover of cupcakes. The cupcakes are always delicious and not only are the frostings delicious but the cupcakes are large and the cake is so tasty on its own which I really love. I even ordered some cupcakes via DoorDash from them last week for a work birthday treat and everyone enjoyed every single cupcake they sent. Not to mention the pricing is beyond fair. Would definitely love to see this place expand to multiple locations.”

“Ordered a cake to have shipped, cake was shipped but unpresentable upon opening. Seems like the cake was just thrown in the box in a plastic bag and shipped.. very disappointed for the price of this transaction it should have made it to my door presentable. Very disappointing if this how they ship state to state I don’t recommend!!”
“Visiting from out of town had seen all the wonderful reviews on IG and Facebook checked the site Facebook said they would be open today from 10 to 6 today. CLOSED and nothing said "sold out" not an update. I am communication and media content expert. Most people have holiday hours posted and this would have been so helpful. I wasn't the only one traveling to partake something delicious. Two other people just like my family drove an hour away. Very disappointing 😞 I would have loved to write a great review”
