“My personal favorite is the Cajun turkey sandwich, followed by the ham & cheese croissant and the grilled Cajun chicken pita”
Great service. I just don’t know who allowed them to make pizza.
Bland food, 20% service charge, waste of money, dont go to this restaraunt unless you dont care a lot about quality I got the garbage burger medium rare and it was below average.

“Iconic neighborhood joint.”
Iconic neighborhood joint. Food and atmosphere are unique and outstanding. Great brunch and lunch menus. Good for small or large groups. Been coming here for years. Bring a Sharpie and leave your mark on the walls, booths or tables when you’re done eating. Don’t forget to check out 57th Street Books a few doors down, too. Perfect 1-2 punch for a morning or afternoon in Hyde Park. Also pairs very well with visits to the Museum of Science and Industry.

“I love this place so much.”
I love this place so much! The food is always fresh and oh so delicious 😋. Service is top-notch, and this place has a great ambiance. The baked goat cheese appetizer is my go-to. The Mediterranean pizza superb and the Ensalada kimba salad is perfection.

We just came in for a small bite and were honestly really impressed. The beef chili soup might be the best I’ve had in years. It was rich, flavorful, and hit the spot. The calamari was crispy and delicious, and the chili cheese fries were loaded and super satisfying. We also had the chips and guac which were fresh and solid. Service was great and everyone working there was super friendly. Chill spot and definitely somewhere I’d come back to.

“Started with the guacamole salsa and chips.”
Started with the guacamole salsa and chips. Then had the Veggie Chili and Garbage Salad. Everything was great. The chili had the perfect blend of spices and slight heat. The service was good and atmosphere too. Great lil spot to stop after a museum trip. Street parking. We will be back. My husband had the fried chicken sandwich with wedge fries. And my son had the garbage burger. Both enjoyed them.

“yeah this place is just so good.”
yeah this place is just so good. the menu has a variety of items. I recommend the bowtie to pasta with Italian sausage. They're actually amazing. It has a really bar, homey environment and there's writing all across the walls from customers that just add to the vibe. The service is very friendly, and the food came out relatively quickly. As a New Yorker, the prices were cheap too. 4 food dishes and 5 drinks didn't even go over 100 bucks. Just one precaution: MAKE A RESERVATION. I didn't and I had to wait outside for like 40 minutes.. Just make a reservation.

Amazing “old world” ambiance and a quaint small town feel. We walked in with a large group and were instantly seated. A true find in the busyness of the area! 🥰

This restaurant is very good and very good prices! We got a Reuben, personal pan pizza (spinach and goat cheese, it was AMAZING), and milkshake for $31 plus tip. Will for sure be coming back, and will for sure get the milkshake every time

“It’s a great place to grab a bite if you’re exploring University of Chicago.”
It’s a great place to grab a bite if you’re exploring University of Chicago. We tried chicken soup but I would definitely recommend getting a sandwich. You can dine in or takeout. The atmosphere felt a bit dense because the place was crowded but otherwise it’s great.
