“The moment we walked in, we knew we had found something special. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and every member of the staff made us feel like we belonged there. The food is Filipino cuisine done right, deeply connected to its heritage while presented with a modern touch that never feels forced or pretentious. Every dish was authentic, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The owners and team clearly love what they do, and it shows in every detail. Boonie's is a hidden gem in Chicago. Run, don't walk, to get a table here. We will definitely be back.”

“Food was yummy! Not anything amazing, but just good Filipino food 😄 It all came out fast too! ☺️”

“This place is great! The authentic Filipino food, friendly and attentive service, and fun atmosphere make this a must try. Everything was flavorful. I only wish the portion size was bigger on the tasty pancit.”

“Everything was AMAZING. Chill vibes, very very clean restaurant. Quiet and nice for chatting. Great music choice too! Food was so beautiful and uniquely designed. Spring Rolls were amazing and the sauce was fantastic. Super crispy and flakey. The garlic noodles were also fantastic. Rivaling any chinese shop garlic noodles in the area, Boonie’s definitely comes out on top. perfectly cooked. The Satti Manok was phenominal. It came with cornbread sticky rice which is so fun and delicious. The sauce was nice and balanced. The chicken and don’t skip the desert. Dip the Banana Turon in the Mango Float for the perfect ending. The mango sauce on the mango float is to DIE for. Our server was also super attentive and everything was spaced out perfectly timewise. It felt professional, but still warm and personal. Such a great night overall!”

“It was my parent’s 35th wedding anniversary and the staff took the time to write them a little card. It was so sweet and thoughtful! Christine was absolutely incredible, friendly and helpful explaining the menu. The food was exquisite, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and just overall a great experience. Highly recommend.”

“We really enjoyed the food, service and ambience. Our favorites were the sisig, adobong isda and the mango ice cream which were delicious! The cocktails were great. They have coat checks as well! Highly recommended and definitely will come back. 👌”

“We’ve been looking forward to Boonies since missing it two years ago, and it did not disappoint. Now officially our Chicago favorite. 🇵🇭✨ Every bite felt like home to us! so glad we finally made it this year and snagged a reservation (this place is always packed!). Huge thanks to Chef Joe and Joyce. We will definitely be back!!”

“Boone’s Filipino Restaurant delivered an amazing dining experience. I started with Bundok’s Fried Chicken, which was perfectly crispy, crunchy, and juicy. The house-made signature barbecue sauce on the side was flavorful and made each bite even better. For my main dish, I had the Bistek Silog with marinated beef short rib, calamansi, and caramelized onions. The short rib was incredibly tender and juicy, paired perfectly with fresh garlic rice and a runny egg on top—simple, comforting, and packed with flavor. The service was outstanding—friendly, polite, and attentive to dietary needs. The ambiance was cozy, warm, and vibrant while still feeling intimate. Boone’s is definitely a spot worth visiting, and I’ll be back.”

“I had an unforgettable meal here with a dear friend. First, thank you Kristin for your contagious enthusiasm, warmth and for outstanding service. Everything was delicious but the beef pares, spring rolls and the pork belly appetizer were out of this world! Food comes out from the kitchen piping hot and every dish has a fully balanced flavor profile; sweetness, saltiness, rich fats, citrus and umami. As good as it gets folks!”

“Food was a good quality Filipino food except for lumpia. It’s a bit salty”

“A MUST TO VISIT. Authentic flavors. Here’s what I ordered for Brunch/Lunch. 1) Lumpiang Shanghai was authentic, with enough meat and garlic flavor. 2) Bistek Silog and Longsilog were really good. 3) Fried Chicken was very tasty. It’s not the same as Jollibee, and it shouldn’t. It’s authentic Filipino-flavored style fried chicken, and has its own individual taste. 4) I had ordered bagnet to go, so I’m assuming that’ll be amazing, too. They only have 1 dessert, which I decided not to get: Halo Halo. Not because it wouldn’t be good. Their ingredients, though included Ube jam and ice cream, were limited to macapuno and nata de coco. I like my halo halo with multiple texture, so the absence of mixed beans, kaong, etc, was the reason I didn’t get it. I know the flavor would’ve amazing, but I also wanted texture. In general, one of the best Filipino restaurant in mainland Chicago. EXCELLENT. (PS: their restrooms have a bidet, and feminine essentials for women if needed. Very well prepared.)”

“We had the most amazing meal here! We use to frequent a lot of Filipino restaurants, and this is by far the finest experience. Everything was delicious and perfect; you can tell they pay a lot of attention to the preparation of the food. The ambiance and vibe is wonderful and we loved their music selection.”
