I’m glad that a buddy recommended this restaurant to me. The Bodega Sando was very delicious, and the taste met all the cravings of a breakfast sandwich I craved today. My mimosa was good too. I can tell that the orange juice was freshly squeezed rather than store bought.

First time stopping in. The food was wonderful. The quiche was so light and creamy. The crust was flaky . Balanced with a light spring green salad. My friend and I shared the pistachio pandan croissant. Also very tasty. Cute cafe, not too loud. Would go again.

Gumbo for breakfast sounds odd but it is completely appropriate when it is one of the best gumbos around. A secret to good gumbo is okra that not overly cooked and this place certainly mastered that technique. Add excellent pastries, friendly service, and it is one of the best breakfast joints in Rogers Park. Highly recommended.

One of Chicago's best kept secrets. This place should have a line out the door every day. The pastries and food are incredible and they are constantly putting out new items. I go there often and there's ALWAYS something new and innovative, often seasonal. They have the best croissants I've ever had. One day they're pistachio raspberry, the next its gingerbread mince. Great spot to work quietly on your own or have brunch or dinner with friends. I always bring friends and family from out of town here. Lots of Southern and/or Asian-inspired fare on the food side. They always have fresh flowers on the tables which is a nice touch. Also they have a wall of items from other small local businesses-- great spot to get a last minute gift!

Fig buckwheat scone - say whaah?! It is an incredible as it sounds. Great staff . Short wait. Sitting outside the corner of Devon and Clark is surprisingly quite pleasant.

I tried the Friday night pizza and it was probably the blandest pizza I’ve ever had—not bad, just flavorless. Almost like eating with a head cold. For a place known for sauce, I was surprised there was barely any on the pizza. Having to pay extra just to get enough sauce doesn’t make sense. Even the pepperoni couldn’t help with the flavor. That said, I’ve only ever heard great things about this spot from people I trust, so maybe this was just an off night. The food was prepared quickly, was warm, and the take out experience was super easy.

Found a hair in my triple ginger snap cookie yesterday after the first bite :( Disgusting and the nitro cold brew had a bizarre metallic taste. I was in a hurry to get to work and three people passed the register without offering to help with my very quick order. Not impressed by anything here, all the pasteries and bread look amazing but the hair turned me off from every returning 😟

This is one of the best bakeries in the city, just so creative and delicious every time. On top of that, their selection of menu and grocery items can make it a one-stop shop on weekends. If you're staying for breakfast, the "rad hash" is unforgettable.
