The ambiance was picture postcard in how you would envision a dimly lit romantic restaurant .The service was impeccable and the cuisine was second to none. “⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Incredible Turkish/Anatolian dining experience! We found Avaspi by simply asking AI for a restaurant recommendation near Halsted in Chicago, and it did not disappoint. This was hands down one of the best meals we've had in a long time. Atmosphere: The interior is stunning — moody lighting, plush purple and black velvet seating, copper pendant lights, and a beautiful mural of old Anatolian architecture on the wall. Perfect for a date night or a special dinner with friends. Service: The staff was incredibly kind, professional, and attentive from the moment we sat down. Food: We ordered the Avaspi Mixed Plate for 2, and it was a feast — perfectly grilled lamb chops, tender beef and chicken kebab, grilled tomato and potatoes, herbed fries, and rice, served with tangy and creamy dipping sauces. We also got the Mediterranean Meze Dips platter — hummus, baba ganoush, muhammara, ezme, and tzatziki — every single dip was bursting with flavor, and they came with warm, freshly baked sesame bread straight off the grill. The Stuffed Mushrooms. in a rich, creamy tomato sauce were out of this world, and the whipped feta/labneh dish with grilled bread was equally impressive. Everything was clearly made with fresh ingredients and authentic technique. Highly recommend the Lamb Chops and Stuffed Dates if you're looking for standout dishes. We will absolutely be back — highly recommend Avaspi to anyone who loves Turkish/Anatolian cuisine and wants a memorable night.”
