Un amor — high-caliber american in West Town. Every plate is composed, not just assembled. Staff that genuinely cares how your meal goes, and family-run.

“The French toast flight was delicious but very rich, and the breakfast sandwich was excellent—they even let me substitute sourdough bread (though they might not allow subs during busy times)”
While the Steak Sandwich (7/10) was pretty good, the Steak Bowl was lacking and steak was a bit too salty.

“Nestled on Chicago Avenue in West Town, this Latin spot is a fantastic option for brunch.”
Nestled on Chicago Avenue in West Town, this Latin spot is a fantastic option for brunch. While the vibes and aesthetic are a bit lacking—I probably wouldn't bring out-of-town guests here for the 'atmosphere'—the food absolutely makes up for it. The portions are generous and everything tastes amazing. Just be sure to make a reservation; expect a wait if you try to walk in on the weekend!

“I came into Un Amor with some friends on a Sunday morning for brunch and although there was a wait it was so worth it.”
I came into Un Amor with some friends on a Sunday morning for brunch and although there was a wait it was so worth it! The host was the sweetest and made sure we were taken care of in a timely manner. The ambiance is soft and modern, a great place for a date or to catch up with some friends. The food was also delicious!! I had the carne asada bowl and I ate it all in one sitting because I had to. Their coffee is great, the strawberry horchata was the favorite that we tried. I will be coming back :)

“The chilaquiles were so good with the chorizo.”
The chilaquiles were so good with the chorizo. I got the berry French toast and it was great. Portions are big so you can share with another person. My aunt got the dulce de leche latte she said it was really good. I got the mazapán iced latte it was sooo good. Shout out to our server Nico!!!! he made my birthday brunch experience so special. I would recommend going here.

“Un Amor has become one of our go to brunch places.”
Un Amor has become one of our go to brunch places. We have brought friends from out of town and friends that have lived in Chicago forever here and everyone has loved it. Here is the review… Food: 5 stars! I highly recommend trying their toasts or steak sandwich for brunch. Everything is good, but these truly stand out. The drinks are always good too. Service: 5 stars! The owner and chef’s family work here. It is a small family run restaurant and you can feel it in their friendly and attentive service. Atmosphere: I’ll be honest, I’ve never eaten inside Un Amor because they have a front patio eating area and every time we’ve gone, it’s been absolutely beautiful outside. But! We love eating on the patio here so much I can’t imagine inside would be any different so… 5 stars! Overall: I know I need to try them for dinner but their brunch has made me a lifelong customer. Thanks Un Amor!

“Great neighborhood spot.”
Great neighborhood spot! We randomly popped in on a Sunday morning and were so pleasantly surprised. This will be our new go-to breakfast spot. The chilaquiles and enfrijoladas were delicious. The owner even came over to check in on us and ask how the food was. Family owned and operated.

“We came out from the suburbs to have brunch out in the city to celebrate a milestone bday.”
We came out from the suburbs to have brunch out in the city to celebrate a milestone bday. Im glad we decided to try Un Amor! From the moment we walked in the Hostess greeted us with a smile and accommodated us immediately. Our server, Jery, was exceptionally friendly and welcoming from the moment were seated. She greeted us with a genuine smile, made us feel comfortable. She was attentive without being intrusive, and took our order promptly and efficiently. Her positive attitude and professionalism really enhanced our dining experience. The food was completely a chefs kiss! I had the Guatemalan breakfast and my honey had the carne asada bowl. We loved the seasoning and the flavors! I also tried their mazapan latte and loved every sip of it. We will definitely be coming back! 😊
