“Great place for a solo drink at the bar or a group for dinner. Staff is helpful with suggestions. Can’t recommend enough!”

“This new place in our neighborhood is really cool! ❤️🔥 I really loved the gnocchi and duck, I had the toffee pudding for dessert and it was a blast! 💥 Service is great, if you are looking a good place for a date night with amazing ambiance and lights, this is the perfect spot!”

“What a great loungey place! Little bad wolf was busy so they recommended I go here. Thankfully I did. The atmosphere was so relaxed, the service was great and my meal was fantastic. Sid was an awesome bartender, very friendly and approachable. His drinks were so good. I had the beef Wellington and it was perfect. I can't wait to go back with my husband, I'm sure he's going to love it.”

“If you’ve ever gone to Little Bad Wolf (which if you haven’t then that’s also recommended!), then Good Wolf is a must-visit. As the sister restaurant, it brings the same inviting atmosphere but elevates the dining experience with more refined flavors and creative dishes. The monkfish and the duck gnocchi is a standout — perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Don’t skip the lemon dessert either, it’s a delightful, refreshing finish to the meal. The service, drinks, and food were all top-notch, and the ambiance makes it a great choice for a date night or a casual get-together with friends. I’ll definitely be returning! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique yet approachable fine dining experience. Can’t wait to check it out again next time I’m in town!”

“friendly staff. creative drinks. but the oysters are everything. the bathroom art is that great mix of classy and comical. such a fantastic new addition to Andersonville”

“The foie and chicken mousse was good, good flavor combinations but I wish the bottom later was creamy like the top to make it easier to spread on the bread. Steak tartare was also different. Much lighter than others I’ve had with the tomato and herbs contributing to that. I like a beefier flavor on the tartare, and given the amount of chips that come with the dish, I would add more protein. My favorite appetizer were the Cottage Fries, a heaping pile of manchego with a generous portion of prosciutto, I think this is a must order, and get their good sauce on the side to really elevate the dish. For the mains, we kick things off with their Gnocchi and Duck pasta. You can really taste the confit duck and the bread crumbs gave it a slightly crunchy texture. I loved it, and we also had to try the Lobster Reuben. I have I like the lobster tail and claw meat that was mild and sweet mixing with the traditional reuben ingredients. Obviously we had to try their burger because when in rome. We did the burger with the thick cut bacon. I liked the bacon, but I’m a fatty and wish it was even thicker like Au Cheval. For dessert, they had a phenomenal sweet Sticky Toffee. One of the best I’ve had.”

“I was excited to try the newest addition to the little bad wolf and Gretel family and can say it was definitely worth checking out. If you’re looking for the classic burger you can still enjoy the waygu sliders too! I appreciated the menu was different as it suggests this restaurant group wasn’t going to just rest on its laurels. Notable dishes included: gnocchi and duck, waygu slider, and the monkfish!”

“Service was nice the shrimp was delicious.. But the fish and chips was alright no flavor and most of it was the breading”

“We stoped by for just drinks on opening night and everything was perfect especially fang banger cocktail it was out of this world. Super excited to come back and try all the food. Now that I’ve come here several times I still believe the bar is exquisite, service is warm, and the space is cute and intimate but the food is honestly lacking, we tried everything on the menu at least once carbonara and crab salad twice, carbonara is so salty it’s hardly edible, cheese curds were pretty bad also. We did enjoy dessert. I really want this place to do well, we love our neighborhood restaurants, to be completely honest I had much higher hopes for GW mostly because their sister restaurants LBW and Gretel having such incredible dining experiences. I believe they should think about revamping their food menu.”

“Don’t bank on this place for any important occasions. They cancelled our Valentine’s Day reservation day-of!”
“Very friendly service and food was delicious! We were a party of 4 and each ordered something different. We all enjoyed our meals and our cocktails were fantastic, too. Loved the outdoor space since summertime in Chicago is the best!”
