What a great barbecue place in Rogers Park! We’ve been looking for a good barbecue place that was near to us in Evanston since Smiley Brothers closed This place is the real deal! The food is terrific, the smoker is right on premises, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was a good vibe. Can’t wait until Spring time when the patio opens up in the back! We enjoyed our chicken, pulled pork and brisket! The sites were delicious, the macaroni and cheese and barbecue beans were very tasty. The cornbread was out out of this world! Do not miss the cornbread. AJ makes a great old-fashioned, our waitress. Evelyn was fantastic and Will stopped by to tell us about the new menu that will be coming out soon to include brunch. This will truly be a place I’ll come back to over and over again! The food is as good as the pictures look!

Amazing brisket, pulled pork, pork chops, corn bread and much more. Growing up in Texas, it’s been a journey to find an amazing BBQ joint in Chicago and I believe we have found it in Bull and Barrel. The staff is top notch and the owner is always making sure everyone is having a great experience. Would absolutely recommend for the food and exceptional service.

“A very nice cozy spot.”

A very nice cozy spot. Plenty of seats with a great bar to sit at and watch some games. Great drinks and smoked food with perfect portions. Food was definitely delicious and not over smoked at all. Plenty of flavor. Burnt end platter with Mac was perfect. Wings didn't need sauce on them. Owners and everyone there make sure you taking care of. Definitely stop by

Finally a great barbecue spot in the area that will make the entire family happy.My son doesn’t like barbecue sauce unless it’s from this place , everything is homemade, fresh cut fries seasoned to perfection.We started with Ribs and homemade sausage, i had the pork chop smothered in pepper jelly with a perfect chipotle mashed potatoes and collard greens. My daughter had the homemade chicken tenders.Can’t wait to go back and try their Bloody Mary and chicken wings.

Picked up a smash burger from Bull and Barrel—absolutely delicious! My son had the freshly breaded chicken tenders with crunchy fries, and he loved them. Service was quick and friendly, and the easy parking made it super convenient to run in for lunch. Great spot—we’ll definitely be back!
