One North Kitchen & Bar — an american spot in Loop. The space has a modern, polished edge. Strong bar program alongside the food.

Just stopped here for drinks. Wasn't impressed with the food selection.
It was an odd dinner, the food took a suspiciously short amount of time to arrive, and was not very good.
Been here twice, the service took a very long time on both occasions.

“They were understaffed it seemed and it was noticeable which made our wait time a little longer than anticipated but the servers were doing their absolute best and it was greatly appreciated”
“The food was great.”
The food was great. No one at the table had ANY qualms. We all know SOMEONE usually has something 🤣. Our Culinary Guide Arnvil (I hope I'm spelling it correctly) recommended wonderful dishes and The VERY VERY BERRY cocktail was giving me life☺️ The tortellini with added shrimp was supurb. Get lots of napkins though. The Risotto with Chicken was seasoned perfectly with a marvelous texture. The Gouda Puffs had a nice mild flavor. The staff was really helpful and nice.

Need a nibble and a sip before the Lyric Opera and One North delivered. Casa Tamarind cocktail, delicious. Great looking menu with everything from a quick shared appetizer to a full entree. Highly recommended.

“Wonderful place to grab a dinner and dessert before seeing the Lyric Opera.”
Wonderful place to grab a dinner and dessert before seeing the Lyric Opera. We really appreciate that the staff were friendly and accommodating. They have a wonderful happy hour menu with something for everybody. We had the filet mignons sliders, happy hour Taco special, gouda cheese puffs and bruschetta. Everything was excellent. Erica the executive chef in general manager came up to our table and really accommodated our needs. Wonderful and we will be back!

“I thought this food was pretty exceptional especially for the price.”
I thought this food was pretty exceptional especially for the price! They cooked our steak and sliders to order and it tasted very fresh. This flatbread was good but would’ve preferred less pesto and maybe a balsamic glaze instead. Overall, really loved the vibe and it was very reasonably priced for the city. They were understaffed it seemed and it was noticeable which made our wait time a little longer than anticipated but the servers were doing their absolute best and it was greatly appreciated!

“If this is your first time in Chicago, this is probably one of the first places you'll enter.”
If this is your first time in Chicago, this is probably one of the first places you'll enter. Prices are around the average leaning towards premium range, and the atmosphere was pretty modern. Past the dim lighting, the food is pretty good. Photo is the Sausage Rigatoni.

Felt that the price was a little higher than the usual but the food was great. They have a pretty big area of outdoor seating which is great for those nice summer evenings. As it's in the loop, it would make a great spot to have lunch with your teammates and catch up. Really liked their dessert brownie ice cream with pecans! Yumm 😋

Had a farewell lunch here with my coworkers, complete with rum and cokes, plural. Had a tasty burger and some fries as well. Took a while for the food to come out, would not have worked if this was my typical 1 hr break lunch.

I had a party of 10 attend a pre-opera dinner, they wouldn’t accommodate us when we said we needed to switch to a lower sitting table for one of the older ladies with us with hip issues. The food was ok, not amazing, the steak was burnt and overcooked. The prices were decent for the Chicago area. It is a good location right across the street from the lyric opera so we didn’t need to do much walking to the theater. The waiter could’ve been more professional.

“This was our 3rd time here in this place because they have buratta but our order this time has a lot of carcinogens.”
This was our 3rd time here in this place because they have buratta but our order this time has a lot of carcinogens! The bread that comes with the buratta was burned! The patty was burned and not well cooked in the middle (I requested medium well). The bread that comes with the buratta was burned, so we requested a new slice of bread because we couldn't enjoy the buratta cheese (appetizer) if all you got to taste was carcinogens! The service was good. Waiters and the bar tender was very nice. The grilled cheese we ordered was delicious (they didn't burn that one). We sat by the bar and the Atmosphere there was classy and sporty as you got to watch soccer games in tv. Everything would have been perfect yesterday if the food was not burned. We don't like to pay and all we got to eat was carcinogens or burned food (which is bad for you by the way because it can cause cancer). Please see attached pictures.
