Cafe Nordstrom is located on the 4th floor and offers a comfortable booth dining experience. Like the Schaumburg location, you order at the register and can choose between takeout or dine-in, where a friendly waitress will bring your order to your table. One standout feature here is the large windows that provide a stunning view of the skyscrapers, a welcome change from the mall parking lot view in Schaumburg. My lunch buddy and I both opted for the Santa Fe chicken panini, and it did not disappoint! The sandwich was super fresh, perfectly crafted with a delicious blend of cheesy, creamy, and savory flavors, with just the right amount of kick. You can pair your meal with a salad or another side; I chose the salad with balsamic vinaigrette, which complemented the panini quite well. This meal is not only one of my favorite comfort lunches, but it's also filling enough to have leftovers. A little tip: the sandwich reheats wonderfully in an air fryer at home. Highly recommend Cafe Nordstrom for a satisfying lunch!

“My husband and I had a wonderful lunch at this beautiful restaurant yesterday.”

My husband and I had a wonderful lunch at this beautiful restaurant yesterday. It’s located on the 4th floor of the Michigan Ave Nordstrom and has amazing Chicago city view. When we entered to pick our own table, we noticed a table by the windows still had some used glasses on it so we asked one of the servers if we could sit there. She gave us a big sweet smile and cleaned it up right away for us! She later brought our coffee to the table. The coffee was a medium roast and flavorful. It tasted freshly brewed. The dishes we ordered (see photos) were fresh and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed them! The restaurant has such a nice atmosphere and we sat there and talked over an hour! During that time, the server was attentive and kind. She refilled our coffee when it went low. We really enjoyed her! Cafe Nordstrom has become one of our favorite lunch spot in Streeterville!

Food was atrocious (see picture). Over 20 dollars for what looks like boiled chicken breast and a side of old salad (would not even feed my cat). Wasn’t even sure of what to say when the servers asked me how the food was. Surprisingly, the Clam chowder was actually ok.

This seemed like an odd place to choose to eat in Chicago but so glad we did. It was quiet, not busy, friendly service, cool spot on a hot day, and the food was all amazing. We ordered Santa Fe chicken panini, French dip and the shrimp arugula salad and everyone was beyond good. The star of the show for me was the kalamata olive aioli to dip the fries.

“What a pleasant surprise.”

What a pleasant surprise! Full disclosure - my expectations were not set extremely high given this is a retail store cafe. I was even a bit more concerned when I saw such reasonable prices ( ie. downtown Chicago on the Magnificent Mile). First, our server, Ida, was delightful. She was so kind and helpful, just a sweet soul that makes you want to give them a big hug. The food was really good and with the reasonable prices - could be the best bang for our buck the entire trip. This will be a lunch spot for every Chicago trip moving forward.
