First time in Chicago and had a great time. Maple and Ash did not disappoint. I had a seamless process from booking to a concierge reaching out to confirm what I would like my menu to say. Most importantly, I wish I could remember my waitress name but she was so amazing. She made my experience memorable and provided great hospitality. My ONLY complaint was the size of the oysters for the price (highway robbery!) lol outside of that, great establishment, hospitality + ambiance.

Group of 5 for my friend's birthday and we had the best time. The cocktails were delicious. The food was amazing, so rich in flavor. The star of the show here was our server Q. He was the best! He was attentive, funny, quick, and great with recommendations. We will definitely be returning and will request him as our server. Q made sure my friend's birthday celebration was an amazing experience. Everything about our dinner was lovely from the food to the service. Would definitely recommend, and ask for Q!

Nice steakhouse in downtown Chicago. great staff, lively atmosphere. amazing wine and drink selection. the surf and turf was a great meal. highly recommend the mashed potatoes, they were so good. Great place for a nice vibe and great dinner with good company.

Absolutely amazing food and vibes. Celebrated both of my son’s birthdays there. Our server was great. The steak was fire. I was visiting from out of town and had someone else who also didn’t live in the city refer this restaurant. Highly recommend. Good for date night and only bring your kids if they know how to behave. We went at 930pm on a Wednesday night before thanksgiving…. lol

Flew in from Philadelphia to check this restaurant out. Amazing service and great food. The Wagyu steak was perfectly cooked. Also had a caviar bump! Loved our server as well.

“The food was amazing.”
The food was amazing. Everything was delicious and cooked put to perfection. The filet mignon melted in your mouth. We ordered a number of sides and each one was better than the next. We had the asparagus, the mushrooms, the macaroni and cheese and the mashed potatoes and they were all made with a special touch. The overall atmosphere was elegant, but they kept the lights way too low. Part of enjoying your food is being able to see your food. And part of ordering your food is being able to see the menu without having to almost catch it on fire with the candle. For a restaurant this expensive and this level of elegance, our waitress could’ve been a little better. All of the people who brought out the food and did all the other aspects of service were amazing. I don’t know if our waitress was just a little overwhelmed with her tables, but we found ourselves looking for her often trying to get refills and other things we needed. That was just a little hiccup, the overall experience was amazing and the food was great. Highly recommend.

Where do I even start… From the moment you pull up, Maple & Ash makes it very clear, you’re stepping into an experience, not just a dinner. The valet sets the tone, the greeters keep it flowing, the coat check is flawless… every single staff member plays their role like they’re part of a perfectly rehearsed performance. Not forced. Not pretentious. Just dialed-in hospitality from people who clearly take pride in what they do. Then the cocktails hit the table. Invisible Lies, listen… this thing is dangerous. Crisp, bright, refreshing as hell, layered with citrus in a way that makes you forget you’re sipping alcohol. It’s the kind of drink that makes you stop mid-conversation and say, “Yo, taste this.” And even with the place buzzing, the manager, (Marco) still made it a point to visit tables, check on guests, and make sure the energy stayed high. That kind of presence matters. Now… the food. The foie gras and beef tenderloin steak tartare? Phenomenal. The smoked egg yolk adds this silky, smoky richness that takes the whole dish into another tier. It’s familiar, but elevated… comforting, but still exciting. But the true star of the night? The dry-aged tomahawk. Look, I’ve had a lot of steaks. I’ve made a lot of steaks. I know what good beef tastes like. This wasn’t just a steak… this was a moment. The dry-aging gives it that deep, nutty flavor. The crust? Perfect. The texture? Velvet with structure. And then they hit you with that “beefed up butter” and roasted bone marrow. Mix it all together and your mouth goes on a full-blown adventure, fat, smoke, umami, richness, like your taste buds are being baptized in flavor. It’s one of those bites that makes you close your eyes for a second so you can actually process what’s happening. From the staff, to the ambience, to the food… Maple & Ash delivers an experience you don’t just enjoy, you remember. Hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had, and one that’s going to be hard to beat

“Dined at Maple and Ash for my wife’s birthday.”
Dined at Maple and Ash for my wife’s birthday. It was our first time there and it was great. The service was exceptional and they gave my wife a custom menu(see picture) along with complimentary martinis for both of us. The atmosphere and decor were beautiful with real lighted candles. My wife had the filet which was cooked perfect. I had the steak frites which were great. We had a side of mac n cheese and my wife said it was the best she’s ever had. Highly recommend Maple and Ash.

Celebrated my birthday dinner here and absolutely loved the experience. From the atmosphere, to the service to the food and the drinks, everything was fantastic. We really enjoyed the seafood tower and got the additional pasta added to it which was very tasty. We got the chocolate cake for dessert which has a surprise coffee mousse element and was de-licious!! I also really liked their bread that they serve at the dinner table which just goes a long way in showing they have thought about every detail. This is now one of my favorite Chicago restaurants. We have to go back to try more!

You’re greeted with a cocktail the moment you walk in — that alone sets the tone. The space has this intimate, almost cinematic vibe, lit entirely by candles that make the whole experience feel personal. We went for the seafood tower and the swordfish — both on point. Drinks? Exceptional. Everything about this place whispers class without trying too hard.
