“10/10 across the board! Incredible place to dine at! We had a last minute dinner reservation here during our trip to Chicago, this was the best meal we had in the city! The food was scrumptious! The service was outstanding! Julian, our server was fantastic! A definite must go to place and not if, but when we will be back in Chicago, we are coming back! The steaks were delicious, the cocktails hit the spot! The lobstercargo was incredible! The carrot cake was so, so good!”

Otherwise it’s a spot I’d go at least once a week whenever I’m in town. You know, I wonder if this place will ever get review by a Michelin star critic. Update June 2026: After all these years, all the constant visits to Chicago Cut. This will forever be my primary steak house spot especially during the nice seasons of CHI sitting by the lake enjoying the food and chatting with Matt in regard of the current recommended wine selections. Many steak houses cut their wine list down the past couple years but Chicago Cut’s wine list remain the same with more additions, amazing. The wine list is exactly why I start putting this location as business meeting spot. This is a spot you can’t miss when visiting CHI. If you haven’t already make a reservation yet, hurry up.”
“Visit on 2/7/26. Again, simply amazing. Celebrated a 16th birthday and the food and staff could not have been any better. Our Server Tony was fantastic, very attention to detail driven. Proprietor Mr. Moore is just outstanding on how he and his staff run this establishment. Visit on 4/5/25 celebrating a wedding anniversary. Again one of the best steak houses out there. Atmosphere is amazing, service was spectacular, quality of meats is second to none, perfection! The proprietor Matt has attention to detail beyond belief and a true gentleman. Dave sorry we missed you this visit. Hector our server was simply put - awesome. Went again 4/26/22 and it was fantastic, Matt & David have a diamond amongst all the fabulous steakhouses in the downtown Chicago area. Being from Kansas City I know what good steak is all about. This place is phenomenal. Great location, staff, wine list, menu. The steaks are beyond perfect. My mouth is watering just reminiscing.”

“I had an absolutely incredible dinner at Chicago Cut Steakhouse recently. From the second we walked through the door, the atmosphere felt both high-end and genuinely welcoming, which isn't always easy to pull off. Our waiter, Jordan, was phenomenal—he was super attentive and professional, making sure we had everything we needed without ever being overbearing. It was also great to meet the manager, John, who checked in on us and really went the extra mile to make us feel at home. It’s clear they take great pride in their service. As for the food, everything was cooked to perfection, but you seriously cannot leave without trying the crème brûlée. It was easily the highlight of the meal and arguably one of the best I've ever had. If you're looking for a world-class steakhouse experience in the city, this is definitely the spot.”
