Lillie's Q — an american spot in West Town. Order the Barbecue. The kind of place your parents probably knew about too. "Best sauce would be the smoky and hot smoky if you want a kick of spiciness on your bbq" — Eleanor Zhou

“Pictured here is a Pimento Cheese Sausage Link ($8 and a style I've never tasted before 5/5), half a pound of Brisket ($17, probably one of the best I've had 5/5), both come with a side of onions and pickles, and ordered sides of Coleslaw ($4, dry, not creamy 3/5) and Mac & Cheese ($6, which was average 2”
I would NOT recommend. This is NOT authentic BBQ. I ordered the brisket and the pulled pork.
Cool dining room for bbq. Moon shine bloody mary had that heat in the back of my lungs lol. Ribs n chicken was a bit dry.
Wasn’t a fan of the food despite the reviews listed for this place.

“Came in almost before closing time.”
Came in almost before closing time! The location was easily findable and had a very nice atmosphere! Super good vibe and feel! Once we got to the counter a nice gentleman named Jose was the one that helped us! That guy is the MVP! You can tell he enjoys his job and does it pretty well! He recommended us some good sauces and the salsa macha! Definitely will come back just because of the good service we had! The food was insanely good! Brisket was beyond fire! The tacos were the best in my opinion! Totally unexpected it! 100/10

One of my top 5 Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwiches. Out of close to 30 by now. Enough heat to make me sweat with flavor that kept me eating!

Not a huge fan of how the BBQ sauce packets came, pictured here - opted for Hot Smoky and Smoky Barbecue Sauce. A bit pricey but was filling. Would like to try the Tri-Tip, Hot Link, and Chicken Wings next visit.

What a weird weird place, they took pour your own beer and counter order bbq and put them together. The sauce is all pre packaged. Why. It was delicious though. Five stars. Great back patio/parking lot.

If you are in the area this is a must try. The food is amazing. Try the wings and Mac and cheese. The staff was great at helping us select food and explaining all the sauces.

Delicious BBQ! Everything we ordered was awesome! Beef Brisket, Pulled pork sandwiches, Tri Tip , and ribs with sides offried, mac & cheese & their Grits were especially amazing with fresh bacon on top!! Nice outdoor patio seating, and their bar area is also very nice!! They make all their own bbq sauces and slow bbq all their meats!! Nice selection of micro brews on tap and in bottles. I had a craft margarita which was delicious!! Great waitstaff too!! I will be back!!

I can’t say I’ve been to every bbq joint in Chicago but this is by far the favorite I have tried and I see no reason to look elsewhere. My standby is the tri tip sandwich southern style. Can’t go wrong with that. Nice Mac and cheese side but I usually go for the fries and slather through a few selections from the half dozen house made sauces on every table. Giant short rib special is a treat if you can get it.

“The food was delicious.”
The food was delicious. They have happy hour food and beer specials. Plus daily food specials. I got the chicken wings w/side of mac n cheese. My husband got the brisket poor boy, mac n cheese, and Cole slaw. Big portions, we had left overs. They take reservations, we didn't make any and were able to get seated right away on a Friday night. It got busier as the night went on. Friendly server, explained all the different bbq sauces on the table and what they would be good with. Street parking can be hard to find.

Ribs are good. Pork are a bit dry, fries are good. Best sauce would be the smoky and hot smoky if you want a kick of spiciness on your bbq. A bit pricy for the portion.

“The kitchen of District Brewyard known chiefly for their chicken.”
The kitchen of District Brewyard known chiefly for their chicken. It was a mixed experience for us. While the Fried chicken sandwich (Nashville Hot) was pretty good with a crunchy patty complemented by some savory slaw, the smoky wings (buffalo sauced) were way too salty. Place has a good vibe. Would probably have given another star if this was review for the brewery.
