I absolutely love this place. It’s run by a powerhouse father-and-son duo, and they’ve totally nailed it.
Great Chicago is such a classic and great kosher spot- my favorite is the popcorn chicken, but their burgers are also world class, the drumettes are amazing, superb chicken noodle soup and Avi and Yossi are such great people.

The sesame beef - did not look or taste like sesame.
Waited over 45 mins for 2 childrens' meals that consisted of 2 hot dogs and fries. Ridiculous service.
Disgusting period. Nothing fresh..

“Owner is a friend for a few decades.”
Owner is a friend for a few decades. He does great work with a smile. He hires great people and his son runs the show in front. The food is on the better part of the comfort food spectrum. Shwarma is really good. Soup is fantastic and the burgers are great. Stick to the comfort food. My kids feel these are the best fries in the country 😀 and the drummets and popcorn chicken are worth the price.

Amazing Kosher food. If you're looking for a great meal, this is your spot. The food tastes unreal, the service was great, and dining was comfortable. I'd recommend this to anyone. Very impressed.

Restaurant feels like a fast food joint. We did takeout. Crispy Chicken (4/5) with corn bread (3/5), bayken burger (5/5) with curly fries (5/5) and chicken lo mein (5/5). Crispy chicken tasted great but like it had been under the heat lamp too long. Corn bread was unexpectedly bready. Lo mein was by far the best. Curly fries were not spicy as advertised but not too crispy. Burger was cooked well and delightfully messy.

Got takeout. Restaurant atmosphere had a fast food feel. Got crispy chicken (4/5) and cornbread (3/5), chicken lo mein (5/5) and bayken burger (5/5) and spicy curly fries (5/5). Crispy chicken tasted like it had been under heat lamp too long. Cornbread was surprisingly bready. Chicken lo mein was superb. Burger was delightfully messy.

Super clean establishment super friendly service! First time dining here food was very good. Prices are a bit on the high side but good portion sizes and flavor makes up for it will be back to try different stuff from the menu!

I come here right around the time it opens, and sometimes in the afternoons on other days. I’m a fan of the baked beans and the fried chicken. They have pretty good sauces and if you get a burger, inside of a whole wheat wrap, I would say it’s the best I’ve had so far. I have an A+ rating over Other restaurants. The food is kosher, and it has CRC supervision. The staff is always polite and friendly, and they usually know their customers by name. I usually see the CTA bus drivers come in on their way home and grab food and they always get treated well. I’ve seen others from the neighborhood drop in and they don’t get treated any differently. The owners always have a big smile on their face when they see me. That counts for a lot and it says a lot. To most places you’re just in order, but to these guys, you’re more than just an order.

Great Chicago is such a classic and great kosher spot- my favorite is the popcorn chicken, but their burgers are also world class, the drumettes are amazing, superb chicken noodle soup and Avi and Yossi are such great people. Highly reccomend 🙌
