Nice sit down spot. Best breakfast I've had all week, and for the entirety of our vacation. Nice quiet spot at 9am on a Wednesday. Good variety.

“Best sandwiches ever!!”

Best sandwiches ever!!! I sat down and the food was quick to arrive. Delicious sandwich with the perfect melted cheese! I'd buy another plane ticket and come here just for this! Quite an ideal spot too! Lovely staff, and did I mention how good the sandwiches were? If there was an option I would rate this higher than 5 stars. Edit: recently came back and still have the same review to leave.....and all you haters can get out because Gayle is such a kindhearted soul who is passionate about her grilled cheese! If she had no clue what she was doing then why the hell am I leaving a 5 star review? The reason it's there is to show how in fact she is putting the effort, the ingredients and the time, and yet we don't realize how good the sandwich truly is.

My son loves grilled cheese so we had to give this place a try. Their grilled cheese was a hit! I also enjoyed the tomato soup even tho it's not something I typically would choose. Great atmosphere and great service too!

Gayle V's advertises themselves as having the best cheese sandwiches ever, and I think they are right! They have many creative and delicious choices, each hand-made. They also have hand-made chips that are wonderful and a selection of bottled sodas including a lemonade soda that was very good. The environment is clean and modern. The even had live music the day I stopped by for lunch. They are on the lower level of the mall outside entrance to the subway.

The grilled cheese sandwiches are always on point, and this is a nice stop off point for a break between traveling and such.. I had the Abreo.. Cheddar .. bacon onion jam .. apple slices on paninni bread.. I got their home made potato chips and a Filberts soda.. didn't take too long to bring over either. good choice if you're needing a tasty bite!

The Loop offers plenty of dining options but for a quick and mostly homemade lunch or snack, check out Gayle V's best ever grilled cheese located in The Pedway. The classic Mac is so good, Mac and cheese between double butterkase cheese on fresh sourdough. Such cheesy goodness. And try The Jake, it's Gouda, ham and apple butter. Savory and sweet, a perfect balanced Sammie. Want a little something more, you gotta try the tomato pesto soup. Not from a can, all homemade.

“Love love love Gayle's.”

Love love love Gayle's! It's my go to lunch spot when I work downtown. Everything is always consistently good. My literal only complaint is that the music is always too loud for me, but I have a lot of sensory issues so there's that. My favorite is the Little Italy!
