“The food is a standout among Chicago hotdog stands. Not a lot of places do variations with a Vienna beef dog. The char is a wonderful touch. They fix a good standard Chicago dog but the absence of poppy seed buns is different. Milkshake was fine. Just the right balance. Fries were fresh cut in house, crispy, and piping hot. Couldn't ask for a better fry. A classic Green River went well. Not a lot of interaction with staff BUT, they are fast and efficient with the preparation.”

“While visiting Chicago we had to stop by and eat at devil dogs this place was highly recommended. The food was awesome and the milkshakes are so so good. The parking garage is literally 30 second walk away at 777 S . State st.”

“Genuinely the best hot dog I have had, same is true of the milkshake.”

“I tried my very first authentic Chicago-style hot dog, and I have to say, it put New York City’s “dirty water dogs” to shame! This is probably the best hot dog I’ve had in my lifetime and that’s saying a lot because I regularly ate hot dogs as a kid (which kid didn’t??). I had the classic Chicago dawg. The dog was perfectly juicy and not salty at all. The toppings were top tier! I especially loved the neon-green relish (where can I buy this??) and the pickle had the best crunch to it. I ordered a side of fries and they came out piping hot but not too greasy. And do you know the best thing about my meal? I scarfed it down and didn’t feel overly stuffed. It was really the perfect snack to hold me over while I continued my sightseeing. Honestly, I don’t know how I can go back to eating any other hot dogs. I’ll just have to hold off on doing so until I make my way back to Chicago again.”

“So glad we came to Devil Dawgs ❤️ pretzel shake, Italian beef, Chicago dog, & fries were all great. Clearly a popular spot for a reason!”

“Stopped at Devil Dawgs and grabbed a corn dog with fries. Total was about $16 with tip, which feels reasonable for the city. The spice level was dialed in just right and the flavors were bold without being over the top—exactly what you want from a place like this. Fries were solid and well-seasoned. The vibe is fun and laid-back, with that classic fast-casual Chicago feel, and service was quick even though it was busy. Only real downside was the bun getting a little soggy, which knocked the texture down a notch. Still, the food, atmosphere, and speed make this an easy 5-star stop. I’d happily eat here again.”

“I recommend this place for the onion rings and burger. I also ordered a hotdogs double Chicago's Style. It was ok. The prices are good. The place is comfortable n service so fast.”

“Best tater tots in the city. The ordering process is very easy and fast. Thank you Devil Dawgs, my go to for something quick gor dinner.”

“Really good place to get some solid dogs and beefs after the football game.”

“If you’re in the South Loop area and want a casual, fun spot for a hot dog with local Chicago flair, this is a very solid choice. I tried the Italian beef — very good! The sauce on the side was a nice touch, an awesome way to dip the sandwich. Great flavor and a relaxed atmosphere — definitely worth a stop.”

“Right next to the disappointing deep-dish pizza place, and somehow this spot was absolutely packed. I looked it up and realized it is apparently a famous Chicago hot dog shop. At 11:30 p.m., every table was still full. 😭 Menu at the end. 👉 Chicago Dog ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ($5.95) Extremely American. Very sour, very salty, and honestly unlike anything I would normally choose to eat. The whole pickle spear is aggressively sour, and the neon-green relish looks slightly terrifying. Not necessarily terrible, but definitely not for me. The fact that the restaurant was still packed with people this late at night made me question the local eating habits a little. 😭”
