Unico Restaurante
Unico Restaurante — a quiet italian spot in Pilsen with a growing reputation. Warm lighting and a soft pace throughout. The food looks as good as it tastes. "The patatas bravas were packed with flavor—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside" — Jetzarely Reynozo

“My experience at Unico was truly exceptional, with the most memorable aspect being the outstanding level of customer service. From the moment I arrived, the staff demonstrated remarkable attentiveness and professionalism. At no point did I find myself searching for assistance, as every need was anticipated before I had to ask. Water refills were consistently provided, and the staff made me feel as though I was the most valued guest in the restaurant. The team was incredibly knowledgeable and patient, answering all of my questions thoroughly and helping me confidently choose the Seafood Fettuccine. The dish exceeded expectations and was nothing short of phenomenal, showcasing both exceptional flavor and quality. To conclude the evening, I ordered the tiramisu, which has now earned the distinction of being my favorite dessert of all time. As someone who considers themselves an avid tiramisu enthusiast, I can confidently say that Unico’s version takes the number one spot among all I have tried. The combination of extraordinary cuisine and impeccable hospitality created one of the finest dining experiences I have ever had. Thank you, Unico, for setting such a high standard for both food and customer service.”

“The short beef was delicious, will go back just for this dish. I will request the green sauce on the side next time, but it was delicious. The Spinach gnocchi was pure perfection, nice and pillowy soft and airy. The stuffed sausage peppers was very tasty and the sauce was on point with just the right amount of acidity well balanced. Calamry fried nicely and light with a great sauce. Watch out for their chocolate martini it packs a strong punch...but still yummy.”

“Blown away the past couples times we’ve been here — the food is phenomenal! You really can’t go wrong with any choice. Balanced flavors, fresh ingredients and awesome dishes. Portions are generous. Branzino 10/10 Short rib 10/10 Bread pudding 10/10”

“This amazing 1 yr old gem located near “Little Italy” at 24th Western is a MUST visit. The food, service and ambiance is beyond fabulous!!! ❤️ This is now one of my of my favorite places! I can’t wait to go back!! Definitely worth the drive or going out of you way for.”

“Unico is a worthy successor to Il Vicinato which occupied this Heart of Italy space for many years. I’d been a frequent diner in the 90’s and early 2000’s when IV was in its heyday. We had a fabulous evening! Impeccable and friendly service set the table for a remarkable meal. We started with fried calamari in a spicy/sweet sauce—good not great—which was followed by superb entrees. My wife had a perfectly cooked branzino filet while I feasted on a massive melt-in-your-mouth bone-in short rib in a zesty avocado sauce. We finished with an apple torte with ice cream that looked nearly too good to eat; we got over it and practically licked the plate. $25/bottle corkage fee Street parking is easy and a valet is available.”

“Reservations Made, we had a tremendous time! Family gathering with out of town in-laws. Party of 9. Every dish was plated beautifully. Will definitely be returning 😍🥂 My meal included: beet salad, Spinach Stuffed Gnocchi, and Homemade Cucumber Water. I did not have an alcoholic beverage but others did and were all pleased.”

“Food was delicious and Shawn (spelling?), one of the owners and the pastry chef was so sweet! I will definitely be coming back because the menu had so many items we wanted to try!”

“Excellent service for a private proposal and engagement brunch.”

“It’s one of the best restaurants we have been in the city! It’s definitely a hidden gem. Aesthetically, every food is an art piece. The taste is even better than the look. Our favorites are Costilla Unico, Branzino Filet, Shrimp Puttanesca, and more! It’s our second time here today and looking forward to the next visit!”
