“Luis was our server and he was great! Recommend delicious drinks and food. We came with a 3 years old and he also finished his meal. We definitely recommend and will ask to be seated with Luis again next time!”

“I was truly impressed by my experience at Tzuco. The ambiance is unlike anywhere else—every thoughtful detail throughout the restaurant transports you straight to Mexico. The food was exceptional. The mole is among the best I've ever had, and I say that as someone from Oaxaca. Every dish was beautifully prepared and full of authentic flavor. I highly recommend trying one of the Mexican red wines—it was the perfect complement to the meal. A special thank you to Luis and Hector, whose warm hospitality made the experience even more memorable. For a few hours, I genuinely felt like I was back home. I can't wait to return.”

“Came for an early dinner before a concert at Wrigley. The food was genuinely unique and so delicious. The staff was very knowledgeable and the service was great all around. 10/10 experience that I would recommend to anyone visiting Chicago.”

“Cesar was our server and he was so kind and attentive! Great to talk with and very knowledge about the menu and drinks. Great personality and great service!!”

“Our server was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we sat down, he was warm, attentive, and genuinely knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations were spot-on—we ended up trying dishes we probably wouldn’t have ordered ourselves, and they were some of the best parts of our meal. He checked on us at just the right times without ever making us feel rushed and made the entire dining experience feel effortless. Outstanding service, great personality, and excellent attention to detail. We’ll definitely be back and hope to have him as our server again!”

“Cesar fue nuestro mesero y fue SÚPER amable, nos dio las mejores recomendaciones, probamos la barbacoa y la costilla. Ambos deliciosos, los postres fueron deliciosos, especialmente el de limón con aguacate. Muy lindo muy cute, muy recomendado”

“Flavors here were so damn good. Service got slow towards the end. Mussels were ok. The bread was amazing with it. The mushroom appetizer was the best thing. Chicken appetizer very good too. Guacamole was normal. Maiz dessert was delicious. Limon dessert too sour. Cacao was not available which sucked Need to go back and try some entrees! We were all too stuffed.”

“A transcendent dining experience! The decor and ambiance reminisces the natural history of the food's culture and land, the dishes are so well designed (the snapper swimming above the plate!), the tastes layered yet focused, the ingredients supremely highlighted, the service impeccable, all of it a divine pleasure!”

“My friend & I sat at the bar . We celebrated my birthday & had a great time, Oscar and David were a great vibe, all the staff were so pleasant. Food was amazing but the ambiance & welcoming from the staff was top tier.”

“We’re coming back next time we’re in Chicago. This is a can’t-miss experience. We ate there last night and I’m still thinking about the Maíze dessert I had.”

“This is a beautiful upscale Mexican restaurant that’s definitely worth visiting if you’re looking for a unique atmosphere. The décor is stunning, with a stylish, moody interior that creates a sophisticated ambiance, although it’s a bit on the dark side. The food was excellent overall. The burger was surprisingly one of the highlights—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The short ribs were also outstanding: tender, rich, and full of flavor. One of the most memorable parts of the experience was the Fire Margarita, which is served with a real flame, making for a fun and impressive presentation. The cocktails, however, were a bit disappointing. Despite the creative menu, the drinks lacked flavor and didn’t quite live up to the presentation. The service was also just average, nothing particularly warm or attentive, especially considering the price point. Overall, it’s a great spot for a special night out thanks to the beautiful décor, delicious food, and unique cocktails presentation. Just be prepared for higher prices, and don’t expect the drinks or service to be the highlight of the evening.”
