“昔、Old town に来た時もここはあっただろうか。覚えていない。 店内に入ると、中は清潔で素敵なディスプレイでスパイスが色々と並べてあった。 おしゃれで素敵な女性スタッフが、声をかけてくれた。 女性スタッフから、少しスパイスの説明を聞いた後、スパイスを念入りにみる。 シカゴの地域の名前を冠したスパイスもあり、 有名な日本人もりもとシェフのスパイスもある。 色々と欲しいが、家にはまだ使っていないスパイスとか沢山ある。 なので、四つだけ購入。 ホワイトペッパー。 これはスーパーとかで見かけないので。 ローズウォーター。ローズウォーターをワンドロップ、ウォーターボトルの水に入れると、癒しの味になる。(お菓子作りにも、ワンドロップ入れると、ローズの香りがして良い感じです。) 韓国唐辛子の粉。インスタで見た韓国料理パムチムを作ろうと思って。(韓国スーパーのH martに行けば、大量のスパイスが安めに売っていますが、私には小パックが丁度良い量です。唐辛子の挽き具合もよく、鮮度も良い唐辛子でした。) シカゴの名前を冠したスパイスの中から、Northshore。野菜にかけてみようと。 内容は、塩、チャイブス、オニオン、ガーリック、エシャロット、ペッパー。 薄味なので、(茹で野菜、野菜のソテーに)沢山かけました。品の良いお味。 ここにあるスパイスは、エバンストンで作られているようですね。 立地やお店の構えからして、価格は適正価格でした。スパイス一つ、10ドル前後。 お店は素敵ですし、 スタッフの方は非常に感じが良いので、 またスパイスを買いにきます。”

“What’s not to love about an aesthetically pleasing store that solely sells unique spice blends with the friendliest staff? It’s such an experience coming in to this store and each time I feel like a kid in a candy store because I go crazy over spice blends. Highly recommend this store it’s great as gifts and staples in your pantry. I cannot recommend the volcanic salt and LSD seasoning enough!”
