Tuk Tuk Thai Isan Street Food
Tuk Tuk Thai Isan Street Food — the Papaya Salad anchors this Lakeview thai spot. The atmosphere is half the draw here. Nothing here has been watered down. Works for larger parties, BYOB. "The papaya salad was perfectly seasoned with fish sauce and lots of toppings like salted egg" — H.H.H

“The cutest place and the yummiest Thai food I’ve ever had! Great experience, we were definitely be back!”

“Other than parking, this place was really good. Crab rangoon, I say yasotorn thai is better but it was very creamy and well fried. Highlight was thus ka prow moo krob. Although smaller on the portion size, this pork belly was perfectly seasoned and crispy. It was really good. Im noticing that crab fried rice is not what Im expecting from any thai restaurants, but I say tuk tuk had better one that other places. Drinks were also nice touchy, something different than thai ice tea with thst sour lemonade.”

“Everything was great, food was amazing. Staff were very attentive and the mango sticky rice was the best I’ve had since being in Thailand!!”

“Nam Kao Tod was ok slightly sweet and syrupy…the Tuk Tuk papaya salad is always good. The pad siew had a great “wok heeh” aroma. The combo of lime juice and Thai tea is super refreshing and worked well. The green curry is on the sweet side & not my favorite.”

“Everything is excellent. Authentic Thai food bursting with flavor. Despite being jammed packed most of the time. Food and service were always top notch. Recommend this place and do see myself visiting again. A bit loud inside but that is normal for the area.”

“had this place on my list for a while and finally got around to trying it. i had heard really good things and it definitely lived up to the hype. i did have to wait a little bit, but not long at all and honestly it was totally worth it. the place is pretty small and super homey. i also really liked that the menu was just big enough without being overwhelming. i ordered the ka prow rad khao and the first bite instantly brought me back to thailand. i usually don’t order thai food around here because it’s hard to find thai food that really hits the spot, but this was so good. you can tell the ingredients are fresh and the flavors tasted really authentic. i also grabbed the mango sticky rice to go because i had an appointment and didn’t have time to eat it there. once i finally got to it, it was amazing too and the perfect way to end the meal. definitely would recommend and i’ll absolutely be back.”

“We ordered 7 dishes for just 2 people because everything on the menu looked so good—and we weren’t disappointed! Every single dish was delicious, full of flavor, and beautifully prepared. We enjoyed every bite and would happily come back for more.”

“I fear this might be my new favorite restaurant in Chicago!! everything was so transcendentally delicious: we got the Signature Pad Thai, Spicy Pork Belly salad, and Grilled Pork Neck appetizer (I don't know the names in Thai as they appear on the menu sry), and they were ALL amazing. the pork neck in particular was to DIE for, genuinely one of the best things I've ever eaten in my LIFE. for drinks and dessert, we got the Thai Iced Coffee, Pink (Sala) Milk, and Mango Sticky Rice (they warned us that the mango would be a bit sour, but even so it was amazing). everything was great. even the interior: the walls, the table, the table setting, were so beautiful and immaculate vibes. 10/10, would come back again”

“Incredibly delicious and authentic Thai food on the north side of Chicago! Everything was so good we had to come back the very next day. Definitely stopping here again next time I’m in Chicago!”
