“日本人です。リグレーフィールド帰りに食べたのですが 日本のラーメンと遜色ない美味しさでした。ここのラーメン 日本でもお店が開けるくらいです。シカゴで まずまずのラーメンが食べれるとは思わなかった。アディション駅から徒歩5分です。”

“Wait staff was super lovely, food was fantastic, lo mein in particular was extra good!”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great casual spot in Lakeview for a quick, comforting noodle fix. The veggie options are easy to customize and the food is warm, filling, and satisfying without being overly heavy or complicated. Perfect for a relaxed meal or takeout. Special shoutout to our waitress Eve — she was amazing, attentive, and made the experience even better with her friendly service.”

“We headed to Penny’s before the Cubs game. Delicious food. Clean restaurant. Very nice service”

“Stopped by at Pennys for the first time and wish I would’ve came sooner! I love Thai food and ramen so the fact that they have both was amazing! Not to mention the food was also delicious! I’m a regular around Wrigley so I will definitely be coming back! 😋”

“I feel like first visits can go either way… but mine at Penny’s Noodle Shop instantly felt like one of those places I already knew I’d be back to. It’s right under the Brown Line, so you’ve got the trains passing overhead, a little city noise, people walking by it just feels very Chicago in the best way. Nothing fancy, just cozy, real, and easy to settle into. We ordered a mix (because obviously I needed to try everything on my first time 😅). The gyoza were crispy and packed with flavor, the spring rolls were super fresh, and the Panang curry with shrimp… yeah, that one stayed with me. Rich, creamy, but not heavy. But the egg noodles with BBQ pork? That was the standout for me. And when Eve brought over that house vinegar hot sauce wow. That little detail took it to another level. We also got the Mango Sour and Raspberry Sour, which honestly felt like elevated lemonade light, refreshing, perfect vibe. What I didn’t expect was how warm the whole experience felt. Eve and Lue made everything feel so natural, like you’re not just another table. That kind of service makes a difference. For a first time, it didn’t feel like a “try” it felt like the start of a new go-to spot. And I already know I’m coming back.”

“My favorite restaurants for family reunions include Western, Chinese and Japanese food. There are spicy and sweet delicacies, it can satisfy all tastes and food picky. We come back satisfied every time.”

“Cute little corner spot serving big flavor. I came here on a Friday night and felt energized by the lively ambiance. Even though they were so busy, the ladies serving were very thoughtful and quick. Every dish ordered had excellent value. I enjoyed the tom kha: it’s more on the creamy side, which I prefer. The spring rolls were huge and fresh. Thai iced tea hit the spot. I ordered the Thai ravioli (which is basically just dumplings) for takeout for my partner and he loved it!”

“Awesome! Every time I come to Chicago it’s my go-to place. Gyoza, Spring Rolls, and Sliced Chicken. Love it.”
