“This is the Chunk with Mashed Potato.”

This is the Chunk with Mashed Potato. I think the chef is having a bit of fun with us. I will call this high quality vegan dining. The flavors, presents and texture made this "steak" and potato with asparagus amazing. 10/10 The only problem is it's on the menu for a limited time.

“The food was super yummy.”

The food was super yummy! There is a large variety of food items, all vegan (obviously). There was so many cool options, like vegan pho, vegan shrimp, vegan wings, vegan popcorn chicken, vegan Koran bbq, and so much more! There was also a wide variety of options for drinks and deserts too! I got the popcorn chicken, some fries, bhan-mi, Mac n cheese and a few others things. It was all very delicious and I shared it all with my family who also enjoyed it! The staff are all very nice and the whole atmosphere felt nice and friendly too. There is a kids menu and plenty of seating!!!!

Today we visited and it was amazing 👏 Great service 👏 aamazing food and loved each dish we tried 😋 We had crab rangoon delicious 🤩 Royal pho was good we tried ramen again and it was different than the previous one it was just amazing we are definitely coming back for more ✨️✨️ 03/2025 - We got takeout. We got ramen - it had a unique taste, I have tried various vegan ramen places, but this was completely different. We also tried Drumstick it was nice. Overall, it's a good place.

One of my favorite vegan restaurants around, Alice and Friends has a great variety of meals and delicious desserts. The tiramisu is to die for (haha except nothing died for it!) I also think they have some of the most detailed and easy to read allergen information of anywhere I've been. Super clear labels for allergens and plenty of substitution options. Regular specials are also quite exciting and delicious.

“We ordered the fried enoki mushrooms as an appetizer.”

We ordered the fried enoki mushrooms as an appetizer. We cut it up and it was a good amount for our party of five. For entrées we had the vegan Spam mi, fried rice, King wich, tonkotsu ramen, and the banh mi. All of it was good. I'd recommend the mango lemonade. For dessert, we brought the seasonal special cake back with us. It's a mango pomelo sago cake and it was probably the tastiest thing we've had on our trip. The cake was light, the frosting had a delicious mango flavor, and it was fantastic.

Alice & Friends’ Vegan Kitchen is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to, with excellent service and amazing food. They don’t take reservations but we showed up with a party of 13 people on a Sunday and we had no problem getting a table that fit all of us, we didn’t even have to wait. All of our food was brought out quickly after we ordered it, and it was absolutely delicious. The appetizers were just as good, if not better, than the actual entrees. I also recommend any of the desserts on the menu. They even have mango lassi. I’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking…

Alice and friends is my favorite restaurant in the city! I always will come back, no matter how far I am. They’re consistent and high quality and the staff is always great and kind. I’ve never had a bad dish! It’s the restaurant I dream about the second I leave 💞 please try the Bernese noodle salad, kung pao ding, home run ball salad, corn chowder, and crab Rangoon. Also the chili oil!

If you are a vegetarian or vegan or just enjoy a meatless meal on occasion, I strongly suggest Alice and Friends. This is my first time at the Chicago location. It's just as delicious as the Glenview location. These are the "chicken" wings. I got them with the Korean sweet and spicy sauce, and it's not disappointing! The crust is very crunchy, and the inside is so meaty and flavorful. It tastes just like chicken! My main dish is the Korean bib im bab. The crunchy rice on the bottom of the sizzling pot is fabulous. The flavors are distinct, and the veggies are so fresh, so I can taste each ingredient individually. It's truly an explosion of flavor! I enjoyed a hot cup of cinnamon and ginger tea. Nice little bite to it without being too "spicy." There is an Alice and Friends in Glenview and in Chicago in Edgewater. You'll spend about $25-35 per person. The portions are HUGE, so you might end up with 2 meals. If you bring your own to-go container for leftovers, they will give you .25 cents off the bill. It's not about the 25 cents but rather about less stuff in the landfill. Become a friend of Alice by stopping in to dine or get carry out/ delivery. Everyone who works here is wonderful. If you get Jojo as a server, it's your lucky day! Jojo knows their food at Alice's! Both locations are casual and cozy, making it a great place for a date.

We had lunch on Saturday, it was my first time at Alice and Friends. The service was exceptional, each of the people supporting our table were kind and helpful; we were never without water :) Ordered a wide selection from the menu that the table shared, the food was excellent. Highly recommend the Mush Love, Rainbow Roll and steamed dumplings. As a last minute decision we tried the desserts…omg they did not disappoint. We shared lemon cake, tiramisu (baked), and plain cheesecake. They were beyond amazing and I would go back for dessert alone! (We’d already started eating dessert, but I still think they were worth the picture) Alice and Friends will forever more be a regular stop for lunch or dinner for our family ❤️
