“Oh man, this is a fantastic place! The food is super fresh, and everything tastes so good. If you're craving that classic, home-style soul food that reminds you of mom's cooking, you definitely need to check this place out. You won't regret it! They also make their own drinks and desserts, and they're both delicious and healthy. I will for sure be visiting this place again.”

“This was my first time here the food is really good everything is from scratch I will be going back there in the near future”

“Not noisy at all The food was delicious everything we got was delicious. Very well cooked and seasoned. The pork chops the mac and cheese and the candy yams”

“My sister and I stopped here for dinner this evening. Ms Beverly was our cashier and she greeted us with the biggest and warmest smile. We placed our order and I felt like we didn't even have to wait that long for our dinners. Everything taste sooooo delicious. I've tried to find a good soul food spot for those days I just don't want to cook for myself and I've found it!! My sister had a problem with 1 of her sides and Ms Beverly made it right without any hesitation. I absolve love good customer service!”

“My family ate here for Father’s Day and we all ordered different things. Everything and I mean EVERY entree we tried was so good! Sometimes with soul food it can be bland, too greasy, or too salty. But they know exactly what they’re doing in here. I can’t wait to go back.”

“Well I can say I love supporting black owned restaurants but we as a people have to do better. The customer service was very good here. I even bought items from the sweet shop as well. The food that I purchased just wasn’t put together as I thought it would be. I spent close to 50$ for my 2 meals and even though I made it tasty to my liking at home and ate it, I just wasn’t pleased. My first time at the new location wasn’t what I thought it would be. I’ll definitely go back to the sweet shop. I’ll post my pics but that’s all I want to say. Just have to do better.”

“Everything was dry the baked chicken was leather the corn muffin was like eating a sand biscuit only thing that was OK was the greens and yams they were steaming due to the extreme heat of the warming lamps they more than likely use to keep the food warm. Absolutely horrible in my opinion for $20 I won't be back and cant recommend. They didn't even have any banana pudding just sad.”

“My first time and unfortunately I won't be back. The meatloaf was undercooked and the liver wasn't good either. I could only eat the sides which were good.”

“Great service! Food tastes like its just cooked, its missing seasoning & love. Its just not good! I hate to leave bad reviews buuuuttt nothing had flavor & Im not sure but I believe the meatloaf is turkey & it had open pit bbq sauce on it. String beans straight out the can :( my husband’s smothered chicken was OK thats it. Not worth the money spent.”

“I would've gave the food a negative 10 if it was permissable. Unfortunately I decided to give THIS place a second Chance, it won't be a THIRD!! I've Never eaten or tasted Sweet Greens, 😞🤐 Also I Didn't ask for jerk sauce ON let alone was I informed the chicken would come drowned in it either. I guess Since they didn't describe the macaroni and cheese as being baked I can't be to upset that it wasn't AND tasted dry, unseasoned, and definitely tasted like it came from the box of Kraft macaroni and cheese AND not the kind WITH the deluxe cheese sauce but the kind that comes with the powdered cheese packets. THIS small portion of food that I paid 20$ for wasn't worth the Long drive it took too purchase it. ME being the Foodie I Am I wouldn't mind driving an hour or more for Great tasting and quality food The Good Life Soul Food Cafe JUST doesn't offer it. If you want to waste your Time AND give away YOUR hard earned money for inedible Food THIS is the place to Go.”

“Food is bland. No dressing, just stuffing with a bottle of Sage. Greens aren’t hand picked, big stems & no taste. Pork Choos were ok.”
