I walked in and was addressed by MY NAME! Tell me you want to keep you customers 😂😂 I'll never visit Chicago again without stopping at Cleo's. I love it there 🫶🏾

“Keith Lee wasn’t wrong….”

Keith Lee wasn’t wrong…. This food was phenomenal. Big fan of the muffins omg. I loved everything and it was indeed worth the wait!! We waited an hour, they forgot our chicken but I went back in to let them know and they gave me chicken in like 2 mins. Amazing crunch and super juicy!!! Everything was delicious. 100000/10. The spot is small and it’s takeout only that’s why I rate atmosphere a 3.

Got the catfish and chicken wings, chicken and waffle, and green beans. The catfish was great. The green beans had good flavor. Our only gripe is we had to wait 20-30 minutes for an in person order. It wasn’t crazy busy with people but the online/togo orders must’ve been crazy. It always sucks a bit to be in person and not prioritized though

It's not a place to dine in at. It's 25 min wait. Order ahead. The food is very good, I'm very picky. I had the fried catfish filets dripped with our 24-karat gold sauce, pineapple candied sweet potatoes, and a 24-karat gold muffin. I had to pull over the car to eat it once I tasted it. The muffin was more like a cake, and the glaze on top of it was delicious, and the catfish 😋

I follow Keith Lee so when my sisters and I came up from St. Louis for the weekend we had to try it. The service was welcoming. Purple Rain was Amazing. The chicken was crispy and hot and the muffin delicious. The pineapple candied yams, i could do without. Overall it was a nice experience.

“First off OK SISTA.”

First off OK SISTA! Having seen the Keith Lee review for Cleo’s I was a bit skeptical! As a professionally trained chef and trained by a black mother! This food was GOOD! As previously stated having seen the Keith Lee review, I was skeptical as if us ordinary folks would receive the Keith Lee same! And I’m here to say the food was amazing. I ordered the TEN, which came with 5 nice sized catfish fillets, sweet potatoes, I order a side of the Macaroni and Cheese and the Savory Green beans. The catfish was actually catfish and Swai not the stuff they serve at J&J, I usually don’t eat sweet potatoes but these were good, the macaroni and cheese was good as well as the green beans were well seasoned. The price was $53 a bit pricey, but I understand inflation and Cheeto being in office. But it was worth it. The wait was 45 minutes which was a bit much but I understand good food takes time. But here are my no no’s the young lady at the register acted as if she had something better to do than taking orders, on her phone while taking orders, Mr. Edward Brown, I think this is the cottage grove manager, bro sneezed in his arm while standing behind the line and from I can see over the fryers. Although he sneezed in the crease of his arm which is acceptable, I did NOT! see him go and wash and change his chefs jacket or apron. Myself and a couple other people noticed. Sanitation is key and living in this post Covid era, we all have to look after one another. All in all I’d give Cleo’s a 8.5/10

“My first time at Cleo’s.”

My first time at Cleo’s. Customer service was great. Wait time was 45 minutes (but it was worth the wait). The food was amazing. I had the Float and Fly. It included 3 wings and 3 nice size catfish fillets and 2 sides and the golden muffin. The flavor of the food is indescribable. I definitely will be returning.

“I am disappointed first time at ordering Cleo's.”

I am disappointed first time at ordering Cleo's. I went because of the IG review. They close at 8pm I arrived at 7pm an hour wait, when I arrived home hungry, ready-to-eat it did not look worth the money i spent. The meat was rushly cooked slightly burnt and spicy along with the side order of green beans I order, the corn bread muffin tasted doughy not well cooked the mac n cheesewas gooey. Everybody does not eat spicy foods.😤 I had to leave it for my daughter and I hope that she eats it.I wasted my money $61 worth I am mad and still hungry. Cottage grove location shows higher price than downtown location. I call the next day to inform and the manager I wasnt please with my order she compensated me this delicious meal....everything was tasty 😋

If you want some soul food that’s made with love and some. Yes, this is🔥🔥🔥 Good made so very fresh and delicious 🤤 I had creole crab and macaroni and cheese. It was well worth the money I would be there faithfully if I stayed in this state and area., I am so glad my son told us about you he seen Keith Lee’s video and it was on point💯 Thanks so much for making the celebration of both of my son’s day. My eldest son’s birthday and youngest graduated Navy bootcamp.🙌🏽💪🏽🫶🏽 I would recommend it for sure to anyone who wants to fall deep in love with southern food that will turn your taste buds in love.❤️❤️❤️

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Cleo’s Southern Cuisine for the second time, and I must say, this experience was even better than the first! This time, I indulged in the Ten, along with the delectable corn crab mac & cheese, perfectly cooked string beans, the delightful Mississippi sunshine, and the refreshing purple rain. Each dish was bursting with flavor and prepared to perfection. What truly made this visit standout was the exceptional service we received. Darell, who was in training, really shone during our visit. He took our order with confidence and ensured that we were comfortable throughout our meal. It was clear that he genuinely cared about our experience, checking in frequently and making sure we had everything we needed. Cleo’s Southern Cuisine has truly outdone itself, and I can’t wait to return again soon! Highly recommend for anyone looking for delicious southern comfort food and outstanding service!

Food took a little while to be fully ready given, they were pretty busy with how many orders they were preparing. Catfish was great and the Mac and cheese was AMAZING. Ended up having leftovers due to the big proportion and had essentially two meals. Really enjoyed the candied sweet potatoes, especially with the corn bread. Also bought some of their sauces (hot honey sauce and mango habanero sauce) which were also pretty good with the catfish. There’s very limited seating inside.
