“Stacy took the time to answer all my questions about food sensitivities to make sure my first meal was a great experience”
Wow, this little spot was amazing. Too good to be tucked in the food court along with some big brand name restaurants.
I had the loveliest experience here. Soul food is a genuinely apt name for what they offer.
Greg is #1 when it comes to customer service .
I recently visited Soul & Smoke, and alongside the great food, I wanted to highlight the excellent customer service I received from Brandon.

This was my first stop in Chicago as soon as I saw the menu online and it did not disappoint. The Mac and cheese was love at first bite as well was the corn beard and the rice and beans. I got the turkey and with the bbq sauce it was so good. I did not catch his name but the guy who took care of me showed me great hospitality and had such a great vibe. I can’t wait for my next visit

“I LOVE Soul & Smoke.”
I LOVE Soul & Smoke. My favorites are the smoked turkey tips & smoked chicken gumbo. Delicious every...single...time! This location is within a food hall ans stays open ptetty late, 9pm. It's tucked into the far left corner. There is plenty of shared seating. It's more of a self-serve model, so you order on the kiosk/tablet and present your order # when called. Now, they may run out of your favorites, so get there early or order online to be sure. What we had: - Grits (flavorful, creamy) - Smoked Tips (a fave) - Greens (pretty good, may have vinegar base) - Mashed potatoes (I forgot to try these) - Cornbread (buttery, soft)

This is a small shop that caters well to the Metra commuters at Ogilvie Station its a nice change from the Burger King and Taco Bell. I just had a half pound of the Turkey tips and they were very moist. Getting tasty food on the weekend can be a challenge on the train system. This was a pleasant surprise. It's located on the first floor on the far southwest corner of the food court.

“The brisket sandwich was savory & tender with a generous helping.”
The brisket sandwich was savory & tender with a generous helping. Try it with the gold sauce and a sweet potato on the side. Stacy took the time to answer all my questions about food sensitivities to make sure my first meal was a great experience. She I like that they use biodegradable packaging for to-go containers instead of Styrofoam. And the baked goods were tantalizing. Can't wait to try them next time. The quality of food outranks the nearby vendors. Your taste buds will not know you're in a food court at Ogilvie Transportation Center.

“Tucked away in the corner of the first floor.”
Tucked away in the corner of the first floor. Got the 1/2 lb brisket with bread-pickles & bbq sauce. Sauce comes on the side. Food was good! Really solid brisket. We are inside the food hall/cafeteria. Plenty of seats on a Friday early afternoon. Paid using inkind. Had to ask employee to ring me up manually so that she could give me the check/order number, because the self order kiosk did not provide one. Service was quick otherwise.

“The brisket is superb.”
The brisket is superb! The sides are delicious. Even though this location is inside of a food court, the food is awesome. It doesn't taste like fast food. If you are in the loop, check them out! The customer service is always good no matter the day or time

“That's a delicious BBQ.”
That's a delicious BBQ. Also, the coleslaw is the most delicious one I've ever eaten. I highly recommend this place.

“Just had this for the first time the jerk chicken and sweet potato was so good.”
Just had this for the first time the jerk chicken and sweet potato was so good! Also the collard greens. I liked the jerk sauce, but it’s a shame they charge for the other sauces. I didn’t get to try the tangy sauce. The jerk chicken was fresh and juicy

“Went to lunch while in Chicago for work and found this gem of a place.”
Went to lunch while in Chicago for work and found this gem of a place. Soul and Smoke is pretty damn good. The guy behind the counter was helpful and friendly. The food was great. Some of the best bbq I have had. The spare ribs were a nice subtle spice with the apple wood smoke flavor was very balanced. The brisket mac-n-cheese was really creamy and the flavor of the brisket was very pleasant. Finally the apple slaw was a great complement to the bbq served here. Loved the light vinegar flavor, creamy and nice balance of sweet added with the apples. Overall this was an amazing place. I would eat here again 10/10 times.

“Came here and I always question Mac and cheese.”
Came here and I always question Mac and cheese. That is my fav side and some don’t know how to make it. Soul & smoke definitely has the right down south big mama recipe! Kudos. Bonus surprise was the greens!! Amazing as well. Definitely coming back!
