“Incredible sandwiches! I can’t wait to come back and try a different menu item.”

“Daisy's Po-Boy and Tavern is a great place to go if your craving creole food from New Orleans!!! #IYKYK”

“I must say, my experience at Daisy’s Po-Boy was a great one. Growing up in New Orleans, it’s hard to find a Nola style restaurant outside of the city that truly delivers. Daisy’s did not disappoint. I had the shrimp poboy and a small bowl of Gumbo, while the roux was thicker than what I’m used to, the flavor was EVERYTHING! I have to give thanks to Ishmael for the recommendation as he was a perfect server to my friend and I. All of his recommendations landed as a solid and that’s very rare! Thanks Ishmael. I hope I spelled his name right. My intent was to also do a TikTok review, but I started eating before filming… i was hungry! Nevertheless, I will be back while I’m in Chicago!”

“This restaurant served well over our expectations! We live north of Hyde Park but came here to visit the museum nearby and stopped here for lunch before. Everyone at the restaurant was extremely friendly. They were also really knowledgeable about what was in the food since I have a nut allergy, they assured me nothing was made with nuts except the dessert. We had the shrimp po boy, muffaletta, voodoo wings, and Cajun fries. The food was excellent! We will definitely be back!”

“What a wonderful time we had at Daisy‘s Poboy Tavern! We were trying to find somewhere to eat and stumbled upon this spot. The host greeted us outside as we were looking at the menu posted in the window. I told my mom I see alligator bites and fried green tomatoes, and that was all she needed to hear. Pappadeaux’s alligator bites might have to take a back seat. These alligator bites were awesomely fried to utter perfection. The debris fries with roast beef and gravy - DELISH. The onion rings with cayenne aioli - 😋😋😋 The Cajun slaw - Yum! The host raved about the seafood gumbo, and we saw someone who ordered the fried catfish. When we return, we will definitely try a few different dishes. Also, from 11 AM to 3 PM is happy hour and the peach margarita was $11. 🤩”

“Popped in for a little bit , a food in hyde park , chicago. Atmosphere was very nice, comfortable setting. No wait seating,. My friend had to shrimp and fries, i had a bowl of gumbo and biscuits on the side. Everything was great.”

“My friend picked up sandwiches to go. FYI...They don't take orders over the phone, only online via Grubhub or Doordash, etc... I got the 12" Shrimp Po boy. Oh boy! 🔥Shrimp were perfectly fried with a light breading. I was pleased there were a lot of shrimp!! The remoulade (on the side) was a delicious addition. Thanks to WGN for hosting this restaurant on their show on Monday (apparently they are closed Mondays). I will definitely be back to try other food/drink options and for the live music!! Ps. My friend told me he had the catfish, onion rings and red beans/rice. EVERYTHING was delicious!!”

“Went here on a Tuesday afternoon around 1pm. It was busy but not crowded. Didn't have to wait for a table. I had the fried shrimp po'boy and the Cajun coleslaw. Both were good. Coleslaw seemed to have some thinly sliced jalapenos but I didn't think it was overly spicy, just had some kick to it. The shrimp were fried and seasoned well. You order at the front, they give you a number and you can seat yourself. Most of the tables were cafeteria style and it was a big space so you can go with a larger crowd. There were several TVs on with sports.”

“We went here for date night, the food took us directly back to New Orleans. The gumbo is one of the best and most flavorful in the city and the shrimp Po-Boy was as good as the best ones we have had New Orleans.”

“The catfish po boy was awesome!!! Got this sandwich while passing by and there are no regrets”

“The food was okay I only had the red beans and rice with pork but I didn't taste any pork in it. For $9 no meat was a bit much. I may have to come back and try something different. Cashier was nice and the drinks look good.”
