I often come here but this place fell off badly!!. Service suck. Never have any drinks anymore.
Haven’t had in over a year really had a taste for these waffles ordered two they are a different recipe and thick just nasty.
I usually go to the oak park location but was in the area that morning and hungry so I stopped by.

“Good was delicious.”
Good was delicious! Ate at this location 2 days in a row and it did not disappoint! The waiters were very kind & attentive. The food was affordable as well & the wait time was very short. I recommend this spot to anyone. It is now my new favorite place to eat when I’m visiting the city.

I am from Chicago but now live on the East Coast. I came home with my youngest son to visit and spend time with family during Thanksgiving week. When we landed at Midway the first thing that we wanted to do was eat. Well, it was a Monday morning an apparently I didn't get the memo that damn near ALL the restaurants on the South Side that served breakfast was closed on Mondays. Alas, Chicago's Chicken & Waffles were open. Now I've been here about 5x in the past but my son hadn't and we decided to go for food. The atmosphere, food, and vibe was exactly what we needed! He had the Monique's special and I had the Shrimp and Grits with CHICKEN andoullie sausage. The chicken was VERY important to me because I haven't eaten pork since 1992. Both of our meals were phenomenal and we were very pleased. Though the food was stellar, what made me want to come here to write a 5-star review was the greatest service from our waitress. Tesha was a consummate professional and a joy to be waited upon by. She's very personable and has wonderful light for energy. When talking, I came to learn that she's worked here for 13 yrs...wow! With that type of longevity, you don't get there by been unpleasant. The food drew me in but the service from Tesha took it over the top!

Very great atmosphere! Great music while dining ! You can order Soul food all day! Great waitress Tesha gave us great options of which meals to choose from! Pictured below shrimp / grits & 3 wings /3sides combo! Food came out very fast & was steaming hot! Definitely will return when visiting Chicago again! Thanks Chicagos & Thank you for a great dining experience Tesha!!!

A MUST HAVE 😋😋😋😋 EVERYTHING was perfectly cooked and fresh HOT food. SIDENOTE: Our server was horrible. She kept disappearing, had no hospitality, and didn't give us a refill on our water. She didn't offer and we couldn't find her to ask but some very nice gentleman was able to get it for us and he also made it ice cold water to go 😁😁

The food is delicious! The music is great! The service is amazing! Everyone had nice attitudes and good vibes! The wait time was not long, either! It’s a good choice and I would definitely recommend trying them out

Good staff and good food and the feeling of home made! In the heart of the south side of Chicago. Liked it. The chicken was good too. Done just right. The yams were so authentic. Street parking is free. Bathrooms nice. Just not hands free.

Found this amazing restaurant, and I have never felt really happy and impressed about the food, service, and atmosphere. Music was on point. The vibe was exquisite! It’s very welcoming. Truly an experience whether you are going for Brunch or Dinner. It’s the place to be. Found our new favorite!

My food was very tasty. My fish was a little salty but the grilled veggies on it balance it out.. the food was hot. The wait wasn't long.
