I wanted to like this place because they had such high ratings, but unfortunately the food had no flavor.
Very disappointing as per the good reviews of this place.
Do they have an oven or stove. It’s giving packaged microwave and plated. Presentation 5 stars from a distance.

Went for weekend brunch and was able to get seated fairly quickly. It had a comfy/farmhouse/communal vibe with the tables placed pretty closely together. There’s a high top narrow island with seating as well. There’s noise level was pretty high but not so noisy to where you couldn’t hear your party. My cousin and I went with the shrimp and grits and shared an order of beignets. The shrimp and grits were phenomenal and a nice portion. 10/10. The beignets were a 8/10 just because I visited New Orleans earlier this year and had the ones from Cafe Beignet which I enjoyed so much more. The beignets here are still soft and pillowy and I would likely order again. I saw on the menu that they have fried green tomatoes as part of a specific dish but I really wish they offered them as a side. I haven’t had fried green tomatoes in forever and I just know they would’ve paired nicely with the grits. I hope the chef/owner sees this review and consider making it a possibility! All in all, we have already said that we’ll be back so I’m looking forward to my next visit.

Man this version of avocado toast with a sunny-side egg was banging definitely different. Had a homemade relish on it that's threw me off but on all great flavor. The ginormous cinnamon roll that was sitting next to it was fluffy gooey and soul flavorful.

“Roux is an excellent spot for brunch.”
Roux is an excellent spot for brunch. Among others, we ordered Beignets, a tart, The Classic, and the Chicken Fried Steak. All of these tasted fresh and savory especially the green beans that came with the chicken fried steak. Roux is now officially my go to brunch spot for that area. Will be back!

Talk about a pleasant experience. This place was it and more. Everything was excellent. My particular favorite was thr shrimp and grits. Tasted almost as amazing as the one I had in New Orleans❤️

This was a good place to eat. Their patty melt is to die for. I loved the melted cheese, the sauce and of course rhe carmelized onions. The fried catfish was pretty dope as well. Even though it isn't listed on the menu, the sandwhiches and catfish come with a side of fries. Overall, it was a great lunch.

Probably the best breakfast place in Hyde, yeah plein air is good, but Roux has more flavor. Their biscuit breakfast sand-which is amazing. It is a little on the pricey side but worth it.

Came for the grits and beignets. They did not disappoint! Cute, bright, and modern interior. Order at the counter and they'll serve your food at your table. Definitely a go-to if you live in the neighborhood.

Wow. I’m blown away! What a lovely place to have some southern inspired brunch. I had the fried green tomato tartine and my husband had the shrimp and grits. Both were good portions and very filling, and had a warm and homey comfort taste. We really cannot decide which dish was better because they were both so phenomenal. I can’t wait to go back!

The food was ahhhhmazing! The service was even outstanding. We had shrimp and Grits, Grits with cheese and bacon added. The Fried Green Tomato Tartine was the most delicious open breakfast sandwich I've ever had. We carried out an order of beignets. We thought we were in Nola eating the beignets. Everything was soooo delicious. I can't wait to visit again.

The service was fast and efficient. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very inviting. The attentive and courteous staff catered to my every need, ensuring that my experience was as delightful as possible. The catfish was seasoned, crisp and flavorful. The shrimp and grits melt in your mouth. I will definitely be returning.
