“It was our first time dining at Chicago's Home of Chicken & Waffles.”

It was our first time dining at Chicago's Home of Chicken & Waffles. We were greeted and seated by Dereon a very lovely young lady who greeted everyone in my party with a warm, genuine greeting and a friendly smile. Dereon was great at making sure we were seated promptly. Alicia our waitress was also very friendly and attentive. She was very helpful when I had questions about the different menu choices. Both Dereon and Alicia checked on our table during our dining experience without being overbearing. On our way out Dereon gave each member of my dining party a warm farewell. Overall, a good dining experience- good food, good interactions with the staff and good dining atmosphere.

Best seasoned turkey burger I ever had in life. The fries were mid but I had mac & cheese, collard greens, yams & potato salad which were outstanding.

“This is the best soulful in Chicago.”

This is the best soulful in Chicago. The ambience feel like you at your mama’s house. I love coming here because they treat you like family and you get a full stomach. My server, Alicia Barnes, Is that girl that came out fast she checked on us not too much but just enough! She was great and efficient. I Will continue to go because this is my staple soul food heaven

Was greeted when we entered and seated very quickly. The staff that my party encountered was very friendly and tentative. My group was large and we all ordered different items. Unfortunately, myself and 2 others were disappointed with our waffles- they were hard. The rest of the food was great. Justin was our server, Justin did an awesome job! I believe the manager was Sabrina, whom was very welcoming. This establishment is dog-friendly, there were 2 separate tables accompanied by small dogs.

Food was absolutely amazing. The waffles had a great taste of buttermilk and the wings were crispy and delicious! Same goes to the fries (well seasoned). The Mac and cheese was super cheesy and had a great taste of seasoning as well. The waiter was very polite and totally welcoming! Would recommend this place. Excellent service

A reunion of sorts from a group dating back to grammar school, this Oak Park establishment is a neighborhood hang out. The place was very comfortable and good decor to the eye. Of course, had to try their chicken & waffles since this is their specialty. And it was very good! The 3 wings was fried perfectly with that southern style fine cornmeal breading. Served to order, it took a bit longer than many other places, but did not mind as the friends I was with had many talks to catch up on! An extra order of grits and soft scramble was a nice surprise and was very tasty. Really enjoyed the food here, the company even more so!!

This place is amazing and the food is flavorful and delish. We were greated by the hostess and seated promptly. Our server Amari was wonderful and the gentleman serving water was quick to make sure we had water. The fried chicken was golden brown, juicy and seasoned well. My 11yo gave it 10 stars. The yams were a wonderful blend of flavors and the greens..... 2 thumbs up. The new item on the menu was really good. I would have preferred the veggies on top to be diced up more but good nonetheless. Next time we are back in Chicago, will definitely stop by again.

The fried chicken was very well seasoned and tasted great. I had the combo which includes a side of grilled catfish fillet and sauteed peppers. The Mac and cheese was different but good, it was well seasoned. I loved loved loved the potato and green beans. That was a first for me. I think I would definitely add this to my week planning. The cornbread was delicious. Even though the food was good, I think my girlfriend hyped the food so much that I was disappointed!
