Sunshine and Soul is definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to. The food was absolutely amazing and full of flavor.
Everything of the menu was so tasty, yes I tried everything 😋 it was fresh, very tasty, I ordered 2 or 3 times weekly always with an extra side my daughter love the macaroni, she be so upset when we ride pass & they're close, I have to reroute when open..
Friendly environment, great food & workers.
Let me start by saying that I’ve been to a lot of restaurants throughout Chicago and this is by far the cleanest spot that I’ve dined in.

Do not even waste your time the food was nasty dressing tasted like fish the macaroni had no taste at all and had something green on top that made it even more nastier chicken was burnt the staff was very nice so I’ll give her 5 stars but she definitely needs a new cook will not recommend 0 out of 10 got 4 dinners spent about $90 and was a total waste of money.

Sunshine and Soul is definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to! The food was absolutely amazing and full of flavor. The catfish was cooked perfectly — crispy on the outside, tender and seasoned just right on the inside. You can tell it’s made fresh and with care. And the mac and cheese? That was a highlight for me! Super cheesy, creamy, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the whole experience just felt good from start to finish. If you’re looking for some real soul food that hits the spot, Sunshine and Soul is the place to go!

I even ask the owner what she put in the mac, its only Sunshine flavor😍

Let me start by saying that I’ve been to a lot of restaurants throughout Chicago and this is by far the cleanest spot that I’ve dined in. Food came out fresh and was cooked to perfection, the seasoning was on point and the owners was very warm and welcoming. I most definitely will be returning soon for that Catfish Dinner!

We ordered catfish, greens, cabbage, Mac n cheese, and a loaded baked potato with shrimp. Cornbread came with the catfish. Everything was fantastic and obviously made fresh. I would go out of my way to eat here again.
