“And this is not the first time the portions have been really inconsistent between 3 and 5 scoops, or I would probably let it slide”
food 4/5 service 1/5 The food was good, but I came first and ordered through the self-order machine.
Sadly I have to give this place only two stars. The quality of the fish is very mediocre.
I really liked this place and started ordering from it regularly.

“Cute poke place in river north.”
Cute poke place in river north! I tried their built your own poke bowl. They have a couple of starters and vegan option too! They have an option of in house made drinks. I tried the Sunrise drink, kinda like a milk tea and it was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend getting that drink!

“such a pleasant surprise.”
such a pleasant surprise. i went on a whim because i was craving poke. their ingredients (especially the fish!) tasted so fresh, and the regular bowl with 3 scoops of protein was enormous. my only complaint is seaweed costing extra in the bowl, but the portion size made up for it. i was starving and i could still barely finish the bowl. poke san will definitely be my go-to spot for a quick bite in the area moving forward

🌟 **First Visit to Poke San - Impressive Flavors and Ambiance!** 🌟 I finally decided to visit **Poke San** after following their social media for the past month, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The videos on their social channels made me want to try every dish they offer, and I was excited to see if it lived up to the hype. **Ambiance**: I absolutely love the **bright and inviting decor**. The atmosphere is full of energy and gives off an amazing vibe that matches the freshness of their food. **Quality Ingredients**: The quality of the **sushi-grade fish** here is exceptional—it's incredibly fresh and delicious. What I loved most were the unique ingredient options that I haven't found anywhere else, like the **kimchi**. As someone who watches their diet, I was also impressed by the **many gluten-free options** available. It's a great spot for those with dietary preferences. **Fall Harvest Bowl**: Today, I tried the **Fall Harvest Bowl**, and it was absolutely incredible. The turmeric-seasoned sushi rice combined with the miso and spicy mayo sauces brought out the perfect fall flavors. It's definitely a bowl that captures the essence of autumn. **Monster Matcha**: The **Monster Matcha** drink was a total hit for me! It's a **fun and festive drink**, and I love the fusion of matcha with the ube cream. It was a perfect balance of rich and creamy flavors, and honestly, it’s one of my new favorites. I definitely plan on coming back to try more from their menu. Poke San has the freshness, quality, and flavor that makes it a standout poke spot in Chicago! **Highly recommend** to anyone looking for a fresh, tasty, and fun dining experience! 🍣✨

I was in the River North area recently and was looking for something relatively quick to eat and something more on the lighter/fresher side when I passed Poke San on N. Wells. I popped in and immediately loved the fun bright kitschy decor especially the neon signs and painted cans to look like boba. Once I a passed through and made my way to the ordering counter I was met with a pleasant array of fraud fish and toppings and greeted by the lovely staff who took my order. I did a build your own bowl with three proteins - baked salmon, tuna, and shrimp and sushi rice for my base! I then picked a ton of toppings! My bowl was packed full of fresh goodness. I noticed toppings I also hadn’t seen at other poke spots like sweet potato and kimchi among others. There are also so many delicious sauces to choose from. Additionally I appreciated the designated gluten free ingredients as it made building my bowl much easier. The bowl was huge, fresh, delicious, and filling and all for $14.95. I also tried one of their cloud milk teas, the sunrise which I believe was strawberry and mango. I loved my experience and my only disappointment is that I don’t live closer. I’m not near downtown or river north often but I know where I’ll grab a bite to eat next time I find myself in the area.
