First visit and such a great find near Millennium Park. They have both indoor and outdoor seating (I went on a cold day), and once you step inside, it’s worth taking a minute to take it all in: the decor, the vibe, and the menus. 🙂 My favorite detail: the menus are styled like tests, which is surprisingly fun and makes the experience feel a bit playful. My meal came out in about 15 minutes on a winter weekday before the lunch rush. I had the salmon with veggies, and it was really good. A very enjoyable lunch overall.

Brown Bag Seafood Co. absolutely exceeded my expectations. I ordered the lobster roll, and it genuinely rivals any lobster roll you’d find in New England—fresh, perfectly prepared, and loaded with flavor. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially since it was our first time eating there. They took the time to answer questions and made the whole experience welcoming and easy. Fantastic food, great service, and I’ll definitely be back again. Highly recommend!

“This was a lovely little place that I stumbled upon on a Saturday around noon.”

This was a lovely little place that I stumbled upon on a Saturday around noon. It was basically empty at that time which meant extremely fast service and the food came out lightning quick. The server was very friendly and helpful. The place is clean and for me, at least, quiet. I ordered the lobster roll which, knowing lobsters are not exactly native to Illinois, might only be satisfactory. This roll had the entire lobster tail, not cut up, crammed into it. It was absolutely fantastic! Instead of the parmesan tots I got a side of the chowder which was also very good with extremely large chunks of clam. Overall, I was extra delighted to have found this for my lunch.

“We went here late as it was a long day.”

We went here late as it was a long day. We noticed a few in the city but went to the Lakeshore East location. There on their last hour and energy was high and they explained the menu and process. I really wanted something clean and simple. So went with the salmon and it hit the spot. I can really see myself eating this at lunch and being content. The protein level if good for someone trying to say fit and build muscle for a good lunch. Booths were great for 4-6 people but lunch for 1 is great by the window too. Real nice place, will come back when I’m in Chicago.

Excellent fast casual seafood option with friendly service. I was greeted by Shannon, who was warm and welcoming. She could tell I was new here, and she immediately showed me where the menu was and what their specialties were. Shannon made ordering pleasant, and the fish sandwich and salmon salad were fresh and tasty. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the excellent care and service Shannon!

“Yummy delicious food.”

Yummy delicious food! I ordered the dinner plate with seared tuna, slaw, and parmesan truffle fries - they were all a hit! I tasted a bite of the grilled salmon as well and it was perfectly cooked. I thoroughly enjoyed not only the food but also the price LOL. Pro tip: if you go 3-6 pm, the dinner plate is only $15 🤩

This was an absolute unexpected delight. I had no idea what to expect but kamiyah Made some recommendations that were spot on. Truffle, tater tots were irresistible, the creamy ginger dressing made me want to lick the bowl all while the green salad reassured me that I was eating something healthy. Can’t wait to return!
