“just….AMAZING! Best breakfast in Chicago. Steak is incredible. Korean plate with chicken was something You cannot eat anywhere else….and the Nyree’s famous pancake? The maple syrup was the best we’ve ever ate. Dessert and bagels were taking for ‘to go’ because portions were so large and we both were full. We’re sure we are going to enjoy it as well. “Dropped in on a whim. Was immediately struck by how beautiful the bar area in particular was. Ate our dinner there, as there was a 20-minute wait for a table. Enjoyed excellent service from the individual behind the bar, who was helpful, efficient and sweet. Ordered Korean fried chicken, brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes with marrow butter. They were all delicious and prepared so interestingly. One small plate plus two sides gave two of us each two meals. Prices are more than fair, especially considering the high quality of the fare and surroundings. Were thoroughly satisfied. Recommend either as an everyday or occasion spot.”

We got the wagyu starter. Phenomenal Scallops. They were decent Oysters. Phenomenal Garlic chive pancake. Phenomenal We split the chefs set. PHENOMENAL! Every piece of meat was so full of flavor and tender. To top it off, we got the sundae with injeolmi dduk, tamarin red bean, black sesame waffle and omija almonds - ugh I can’t say how phenomenal it was!”

“We had been wanting to try Perilla Steakhouse for some time, and while we were in Chicago for the weekend, we decided to check out their breakfast menu. Making a reservation through OpenTable was very easy, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The interior is beautiful, with a great blend of Korean design elements and classic Chicago architecture. I also really appreciated that the breakfast menu offers both Korean and Western options, which makes it a great choice for groups with different preferences. My wife ordered the Korean Breakfast, which included rice, soup, fish, kimchi, and a variety of side dishes. I had the American Breakfast with eggs, potatoes, sausage, and toast, and I especially enjoyed the Korean sausage patty. My son ordered the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and really enjoyed them as well. Overall, this was a fantastic breakfast experience and a refreshing change from the typical breakfast spot. Perilla offers something unique while still having options for everyone. We would definitely return.”
