Taza Cafe — the Falafels leads at this top-tier River North middle eastern spot. Good energy here, especially on weekends. The cooking is rooted in real tradition. Priced right. Clare Marshall: "The hummus is a DREAM, the chicken and gyro are tender and flavorful, and the pita is pillowy soft"

“Best falafel I've had in Chicago hands down 🧆 @tazacafechicago 📍 The Loop, Chicago Made with so much LOVEEE , this Mediterranean spot is super low key but been around for 13 years”
The food here unfortunately is not good at all I’ve tried it twice and as a Palestinian I’m really disappointed in the flavors.
I ordered a chicken shawarma in Pita bread ( which is the sandwich btw) it had shredded chicken which did lack a bit of flavour.
I ordered three pieces of falafel balls.

“The service here was great.”
The service here was great! The food was beyond amazing! & the atmosphere was classic. I thought the chicken shawarma, gyro, Falafel, rice, salad and hummus was all so scrumptious. You can sit down and eat or just take it to go. I will definitely be coming back again and trying several other things from the menu.

I got one of the shawarma sandwiches with chicken and falafel. It was tremendous. The hot sauce added onto it made it even better. Amine (maybe spelled wrong) was great and even helped me know what else to go see/do/eat in Chicago. It is a great place for middle eastern food that is close to tourist areas.

“Searched for healthy food downtown.”
Searched for healthy food downtown. Very glad I found this. So good and great value. Chicken way better than almost all shawarma I’ve had. Grape leaves for $1 is unheard of, and they were good. Person working was very nice and hooked it up. A+
