If you want to immerse yourself in the authentic Eastern flavors of Egypt, I highly recommend visiting Cairo Kebab. Koshari is one of Egypt’s most traditional dishes, and here it tastes absolutely amazing — rich, well-balanced, and full of character. The food presentation was beautiful, and the service was excellent from start to finish. The marinated meat was incredibly flavorful, tender, and perfectly cooked. The meal left a warm and memorable impression. It truly felt like a small journey to Egypt through taste and atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates authentic Middle Eastern cuisine

Food here is incredible I was soooo pleasantly surprised. The koshary, maacarona bechamel, arayes, falafel everything is so amazing. I’m not Egyptian but boy was I impressed with this place as a Palestinian. Everything I tried was full of flavor and the iced mint lemonade was the cherry on top. The staff is friendly and food is amazing!!

Excellent chicken shawarma - packed well, chili and tahini sauce, and perfectly crisp French fries. The shawarma was packed to perfection, the meat was large and tender, and filling. The secret sauce (literally) is the garlic toom, it elevates it to a whole new experience. One of my favorites in the city.

Excellent! Very delicious food, generous portion sizes and wonderful service and atmosphere. We had the eggplant and taameya appetizers, lentil soup, lemon mint drink and hawawshi sandwiches. All so tasty and real Egyptian food.

I always panic when I drive from Wisconsin into Chicago because of all the amazing food choices! Whenever I go into the city for a concert I try to find something unique and tasty, and preferably authentic. After scouring through numerous amounts of restaurants (my search was Arabic, middle eastern, etc) I decided Cairo Kebab would be my choice due to the good ratings and the proximity to Reggie's Rock Club. Boy did I make the CORRECT choice! Not only was the restaurant very nice, but the server was also extremely pleasant as well. I arrived before the dinner rush, so seating and ordering was quick and easy. I decided to order the hummus for the appetizer, Arabic coffee for a pick me up (I have been obsessed with Arabic food and drink for the last year or so) and the Kefte Kebab plate. Everything was beautifully presented, and the food was exceptionally good. I ended up texting my family and saying, "This is my death row meal of choice!" (A little dark humor). Delicious food and I highly recommend giving them a try.

The atmosphere and the aesthetic of the restaurant is very nice, it gives you the vibes of Arabic restaurants. The service is very nice, the lady was so sweet and she speaks both Arabic and English. The food was amazing and the portions were huge. Highly recommend trying it out

You cannot improve on perfection 5⭐️'s all around! Yasseen was very polite and helpful. I ordered the Koshary (Beef & Lamb, Molakheya, and lemon, mint juice. Tender, flavorful and refreshing will definitely be returning soon 10/10 💕

I stopped in with a friend and the koshary really hit the spot. It was hearty and came with the tangy vinegar that made it pop. We also shared a kofta kebab that was just right. The staff were warm and made us feel at home. I will definitely be back.

Food always comes out to perfection, the service is amazing. Everything here is done with love they deserve all the business. This is one of the best restaurants I’ve visited in the States. My family and I went twice, and both times were exceptional. During our first visit for dinner, we enjoyed Koshari, Molokhya with rice and chicken, Kebbda, hawawshi, spicy eggplant, lentil soup and Egyptian tea with mint. On our second visit for dinner , we tried the beef liver (Kebbda) again Egyptian style and Hawawshee, Macaronca belbashamel, beef and lamb shawerma, Koshary, baba ghanog, Taamya, hummus, Tabola and koshary which were freshly made and bursting with incredible flavors. We ended the meal with a delightful Basbousa and roz blaban (rice pudding) dessert. The food was genuinely authentic Egyptian and incredibly delicious. The owner, Mohamed ( and also the chef ) was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and made us feel at home. He is a very kindhearted and cooks with love. He told us that his dad taught him how to cook and i really want to thank his dad for teaching him this delicious authentic Egyptian food that also made with love. It's a good idea to call in advance for a unique experience.. I wish i live in Chicago beacuse of Cairo Kabab! I really can't wait to return. Thank you so much for the delicious food and the amazing hospitality.
