“Food here is incredible I was soooo pleasantly surprised. The koshary, maacarona bechamel, arayes, falafel everything is so amazing. I’m not Egyptian but boy was I impressed with this place as a Palestinian. Everything I tried was full of flavor and the iced mint lemonade was the cherry on top. “Excellent chicken shawarma - packed well, chili and tahini sauce, and perfectly crisp French fries. The shawarma was packed to perfection, the meat was large and tender, and filling. The secret sauce (literally) is the garlic toom, it elevates it to a whole new experience. One of my favorites in the city.”

“I always panic when I drive from Wisconsin into Chicago because of all the amazing food choices! Whenever I go into the city for a concert I try to find something unique and tasty, and preferably authentic. After scouring through numerous amounts of restaurants (my search was Arabic, middle eastern, etc) I decided Cairo Kebab would be my choice due to the good ratings and the proximity to Reggie's Rock Club. Boy did I make the CORRECT choice! Not only was the restaurant very nice, but the server was also extremely pleasant as well. I arrived before the dinner rush, so seating and ordering was quick and easy. I decided to order the hummus for the appetizer, Arabic coffee for a pick me up (I have been obsessed with Arabic food and drink for the last year or so) and the Kefte Kebab plate. Everything was beautifully presented, and the food was exceptionally good. I ended up texting my family and saying, "This is my death row meal of choice!" (A little dark humor). Delicious food and I highly recommend giving them a try.”

“Cairo Kebab is my personal favorite local restaurant. The food is spectacular and the staff is friendly and attentive. We ordered catering for my roommate's birthday party and boy did they deliver. We ordered 4 taamiya wraps, 4 chicken kebab wraps, and 4 beef & lamb shawerma wraps. We got way more than what we asked for, and I was both shocked and overjoyed. It was a wonderful surprise and brightened the day even more. We will absolutely be ordering catering from Cairo Kebab again. We were given probably double the sandwiches we ordered as well as baba ganoush and pita wraps, sauces, and desserts we hadn't ordered. If you treat the staff well and work with them politely and with understanding, they will work with you and go the extra mile and then some. As for what I like best, my current favorite menu item is the chicken kebab wrap. Their baklava is the best I've ever had and their other desserts are also delicious. Their Arabic coffee is the only black coffee I've ever had that I've actually enjoyed and wanted more of. Their baba ganoush is also absolutely fantastic. I cannot recommend Cairo Kebab enough. I'll say it again, this is my personal favorite local spot. The atmosphere is fantastic, the prices are reasonable, the food is phenomenal, and above all, the staff is wonderful. If you're in town and want delicious Egyptian cuisine with the care of fine dining but reasonable prices, Cairo Kebab is the restaurant for you.”
