“Thank goodness for Tio’s who know how to make aguas frescas like no one’s biz. It’s hard to find a spot that gives you a naturally sweet and refreshing hibiscus bevvy without all the refined flavors that could steal the show from the bold flor de jamaica - loaded w healthy antioxidants. For a girl on the go, this place is my jam. Not only does it satisfy that craving for authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine that reminds me of home, but it always delivers quality customer service that is unmatched in making one feel welcomed. Grateful the community has a Tio who’s got our backs! 🙂↕️🙏”

“Tio’s is amazing!! They have recently had a menu change and all the food we had was delicious. Every time we go we eat great food and the taco dinner and burrito bowl are no exception. I recommend their refreshing pink lemonade as well. A wonderful place.”

“Great food! Local and small but delicious. Chilaquiles are great and the quesabirria was really good.Had a blackberry cream cheese tamal and a strawberry one and they were so good. New favorite breakfast near my house”

“Best chilaquiles with cafe de olla in Town Best customer services ever”

“First time eating tamales from this place and it didn't disappoint. I order a dozen (4 green chicken, 4 red pork, 4 rajas) for around $30. It might seem pricey but the amount of tamal you get is basically 2 regular tamales for 1 of their tamal. I personally had the green and rajas which they were both good but I love the rajas more bc it wasn't overly spicy had a good amount of cheese and rajas and it had epazote which was something new for me but it added flavor to it. Parking is off street. There are chairs and a bar table to sit more for smaller groups or individuals to dine and the lady (which I believe is the owner) was very friendly.”

“Great people making delicious food, awesome tamales. Best home made salsas I’ve had, I would definitely eat a bow of that salsa.”

“I love it here!!! My organization did a cater order for 50 and everyone loved the food! They’re hospitable, friendly, caring, and their space is very chic! I came to return the crates and the owner offered me a veggie taco and their lemonade refresher. He saw the exhaustion in my face (post our board event). The tamales??? Chef kiss and the Hibiscus drink was very suiting for this summer weather. Everyone loved the food! They’re also reasonably priced. This vegan will be back! ~Rashanah”

“Delish food! Very clean place for a quick, affordable meal or snack. And homemade tamarind drink, OMG! Attentive and quick service. I’ll definitely be back!”

“We visited while out of town, and we have nothing but GREAT things to say about this spot. The tamales were incredible (we tried one of each), and the quesabirria was out of this world. Don't forget about their drinks... Loved the hibiscus one! The only picture I got was of the Strawberry Tamale which was new to me!! Also, the staff was incredibly kind and helpful when ordering. If we come back to Chicago, we will definitely be back!”
