Taqueria La Herencia — one of Brighton Park's strongest mexican spots. The flavors don't apologize for being bold. Service that's warm without being over the top.

“Went to this little spot after it was recommended to me by a friend.”
Went to this little spot after it was recommended to me by a friend. Food is really good, I like that they brought out this little samples of things to try before bringing out what we ordered. Also the bread at the end was phenomenal 😋 will definitely come back.

Great customer service the waitress was so nice. Provided us with a little quesadilla enchilada as an appetizer while we waited for our food. Even provided us with some pound cake for dessert! Y la música al 100! Se los recomiendo

I remembered to take photos at the end of my meal which is why you only see some of what I ordered lol We got torta de carne asada en flautas de pollo. Food was good but service was better. We got a complimentary appetizer at the beginning and a complimentary piece of bread.

“Very cozy place , we decided to try because we were huge fans of Herradero before this new spot opened.”
Very cozy place , we decided to try because we were huge fans of Herradero before this new spot opened! We were treated very kindly from start to finish , the food was delicious and carne en su jugo was amazing ! They brought us little deserts after our meal and gave us home made ice cream to go. I think this might be for dine in only , but either way we will definitely be returning to try different items on the menu!

“The chilaquiles were perfect honestly.”
The chilaquiles were perfect honestly. Not soggy - crunchy and flavorful. My personal favorite so far is the bistec a la mexicana which was a huge platter! The horchata is real homemade horchata. Not the artificial stuff. The handmade tortillas were so good. Keep in mind, handmade tortillas are a special for the weekend only! Also it’s a smaller restaurant with plenty of seating but great for take out as well.
