Tamales Mi Chula — neighborhood mexican in Albany Park. Order the Tamales. The kind of place your parents probably knew about too.

We had green chicken tamales, green Oaxaca tamales, chile poblano tamales, ground beef with potatoes Gordita and atole de nuez. Everything was very delicious. The green chicken ones were very spicy but if you can handle the heat, you’d love them. Their atole was one of the best I’ve ever had—rich, comforting, and full of flavor but not too sweet. The gorditas were my favorite and would definitely get those again. The cashier was kind and welcoming and the prices are fair. Can’t wait to go back!

Tiny four table taqueria in the heart of Albany Park that serves up a variety of amazing tamales daily! On the weekend they have phenomenal specialties, such as lamb barbacoa, menudo (tripe soup), and a dish of goat organs that is phenomenal! Get your carnivore on! Bonus: this establishment is immaculately clean. No more rolling the dice with tamale ladies on the street!

3.09 for 1 small tamales they has only half of it meat..I went some months ago and were different.Today they aren't that good, I saw an empty table there ,they left the menudo almost full and the tamal was not finished and no blame, you can tell by that that food was not good. The tamal was not that good and very small and light meat for 3.09 . The tamales in front of Home Depot are cheaper and better. Picture have a spoon as reference how small they are, I cut it in half

This restaurant is near my home and I was craving salsa verde pollo tamales which I typically go to Bendiciones tamaleria but decided to try something new, and Tamales Mi Chula DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! i'm very big on my tamales needing to be drenched in salsa 😩the more salsa the better and wow when I opened my bag, it was as though the staff knew I prefer them this way. Absolutely delicious and the price was on point. Now I know where to get high quality tamales for an unbeatable price that's closer and more accessible to me. I will definitely be coming back for more🩷
