My favorite quick Mexican spot on the north side! I always get the shrimp burrito. They recently started putting the burrito on the flattop so you get a nice crispy outer tortilla shell to complement all of the flavorful fillings. The queso dip is really great as well and reminds me of queso I’ve had at Texas restaurants.

I thoroughly enjoyed this bowl today—everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly put together. The chicken had so much flavor and the ingredients were super crisp. We also got chips with the house salsa, which never disappoints. I usually order online for delivery and it’s always consistent, but it was great to dine in today. Highly recommend!

Came here after a beautiful Cubs win over the Padres. Family from San Diego came to cheer for their team, but to no avail. Don't know if it was the cheering, the drinking, or the win, but we developed quite an appetite. After a short walk, we came across Mixteco; the establishment was clean and inviting. The staff greeted us with a smile, even though we walked in with San Diego Padres fans. Our food came out in a very reasonable time; it was fresh, warm, and the seasoning was spot on. More importantly, our San Diego family enjoyed their meal. Thank you, Mixteco Grill; we'll definitely return!

The food here is absolutely delicious and I love that they offer pickled onions, cilantro, cojita cheese, and coleslaw as toppings for tacos and bowls. I visited for the first time at lunch and got a shrimp taco and a grilled fish taco. It was so good and the service was so friendly that I asked my son if he wanted to there for dinner. For dinner he got a quesadilla, chips and queso and I got a bowl. All delicious, hot, and fresh. Prices are very reasonable. It’s a good thing this restaurant doesn’t exist in Ohio where I am from because I would be huge. And broke. I will visit again when back in Chicago.

If you are looking for a better alternative to Chipotle then this is for you! I hate to even compare the 2. The flavors and quality is top notch. It’s easy to navigate the menu. The prices are on point and the staff is fast & friendly. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who asked where a great place in the hood is to grab a quick, flavorful bite. I give this 5⭐️ Jerry (the pigeon) gives it 5.5⭐️

I absolutely loved their enchilada suizos as it was a burrito dipped in enchilada sauce. I ordered the one with fajita veggies and it is right around Belmont. It was a huge portion so you will have leftovers. If you are in town, go check it out.

For the best Tex Mex in Chicago please don’t miss this eatery. It’s casual but the food is out of this world. Best shrimp fajitas in town hands down. And the crispy fish tacos too. That spicy cheese dip was magical. It’s BYOB! Go here!

“This was a suprise for us.”

This was a suprise for us. We'd just gotten to our Airbnb and wanted so food before our concert. Mixteco had a steady stream of delivery people in and out so we decided that was as good a sign as any. We were not disappointed! It's pricy, but the food is amazing! The portions are huge and the wait time was minimal. If we are ever back in that neighborhood, this will be a stop! Highly recommended!
